Transport fuel and renewable energy
The US is relying on biofuel to reduce its dependence on oil since 2006, and it contributed significantly to reduce the oil consumption. According to data collected 93 billion liters of biofuel is produced in total in the year of 2009. This amount of biofuel displaced the 68 billion of gasoline in total gasoline consumption in the same year. That counted 5% of the total gasoline production in the world.
According to Global Public Opinion Survey, there is significant support in the utilization of renewable resources, and also in the development of their required utilities. An extensive optimism is found relating to this argument that, investment in the renewable resource will result in long term social, environmental

The most prominent disadvantage of renewable energy is the quantity of energy it provides. Only a small fraction of world’s energy requirement can be fulfilled by the use of renewable energy. The present cost of technology involved in the generation of renewable energy is also very high. The production of energy from wind and other natural sources is sometimes unpredictable as changing the climate. The solar panels do not work if there is no sun, as in case of winter. Similarly, wind turbines are only effective in a certain area where conditions are favorable but not to the other …show more content…
That also maintains human equity, variety, and working of natural systems. The sustainable infrastructure aims to optimize the performance of building, transport, machinery, and processes to work in collaboration with the natural environment. However, it required immense expenditure but it is associated with long-term benefits to the society. The climate is changing and its estimated adverse effects can be reduced by the designing and manufacturing of sustainable buildings and transport system. The creation of sustainable infrastructure involves there is an immense need for applicable practice, study, planning, training, operation and their maintenance. Sustainable infrastructure influences every industry today. The benefits of sustainable infrastructure are increasing incorporation into many infrastructure entities around the globe. Sustainable infrastructure is helpful to mix use of localities. Benefits of sustainable infra-structure include following,
• Resource efficiency
Sustainable infrastructure can be used to maximizing resource proficiency all over the entire lifecycle
• Resource Recycling
Sustainable infrastructure can enable resources to be recycled and to adequate within material cycles of an economy.
• Sustainability co-benefits
Sustainable infrastructure is useful in protecting
In addition, we depend on oil and natural gas for energy to drive our cars, heat our houses, provide air
Texas is known for its agricultural land, especially in West Texas, and can expand biomass energy and reduce the use of non-renewable resources. For example, “Texas also has several biogas facilities that recycle organic waste into renewable energy” (U.S. Energy Information Administration, Page 4). 8 Not only is this energy source renewable but it is recycling waste into a valuable resource. Texas “also has eight biodiesel plants that can produce about 380 million gallons of biodiesel each year” (U.S. Energy Information Administration, Page 4). 9
The US is going to use some source of energy and that will always have some negative effects on the environment. The alternative sources for the energy we need have negative effects on the environment as well. “In 2011 U.S. coal-fired power plants emitted nearly two billion metric tons of greenhouse gases -- roughly eight times the amount produced by mining, refining and burning tar sands”(Biello). Canada is going to develop a pipeline system to export oil whether it’s to the US or other countries, like China, that are trying to get access to this resource.
In today decision I would have to say that Texas will remain a Republican Party. The President of the United States is a Republican. My decision would have to be that the Texas Party will stay the same way since the nineteenth seventies till the remaining of the President Donald Trump term. Texas has a lot of factors that helps makes decisions such as age, income, Education, Ethnicity, Religion, and Gender. The biggest factor would be Ethnicity, and why Is because in the 1950’s between 50% and 60% of black voters identified as Democrats.
It has been said that the electric car would mark the end to the mass production of crude oil, but that is far from the truth. One would think that the more electric vehicles on the road, the less consumption of crude oil and its byproducts, and that’s not true either. By 2040, the number of passenger vehicles will hit more than 1.8 billion worldwide. In that growth, only 10% will be electric vehicles. (Kazokoglu par.1)
There is a quote by President Barack Obama saying, “To truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy,” (“151 Inspiring Environmental Quotes”). He believes as many due that nonrenewable resources are harmful to all aspects of life. The energy we use now is harmful to our planet, to humans, and to animals. Scientists are taking steps to making the world a better place. They found sources that replenished naturally in a short amount of time and are less destructive in all aspects.
The built environment is a resources, services and infrastructure designed and made by the human to facilitate and support their life activities. Built environment may include all types of infrastructures included but not limited: roads, sewerage system, drainage, district cooling, buildings, railway lines, green areas and all other resources that make life easy and reduce the waste by recycling or treatment. There are so many schemes and researched are built in order to measure, improve the communities and environment. One of these systems is LEED “Leader ship in Energy and Environmental Design” which had been found in US as equivalent system to UK system BREEAM which was developed base on BREEAM
A fact for any electric vehicle is that it is dependent on the battery, which drives it, just as a petrole-um based car is dependent on its engine and fuel. The battery is, of course, what leads to the bene-fits of the electric car, like the fact that the car itself emits no CO2. But it also has some drawbacks when compared to a petroleum based car. Refuelling a petroleum based car is a simple process, simply pour petrol into the tank, it takes about ten minutes and then one can drive on. An electric car on the other hand needs to have its battery recharged with electricity, and as anyone who has ever recharged a battery at any size can attest that this is not an instant process.
1. Thesis Title Nuclear energy: it's efficiency sufficient to justify danger? 2. Thesis Description Thesis statement: Although nuclear energy has been proposed as a solution for our energy requirements it is not reliable because of issues regarding safety, nuclear waste storage. It is possible in a medium-long period of time to replace it with renewable energies.
The reduction of carbon emissions to the atmosphere, the cost of maintenance and refuelling and the safety of electric vehicles are surely convincing rationale for us to make changes. So, we all know that majority of people commonly utilise fuel, oil or LPG as a
Scientists have found that renewable energy is a path towards the future for a clean and safe environment. Throughout all the studies and findings, there is a continuing fret whether people should be able to use a traditional way of energy or renewable energy, solar power. Solar energy is seen to be effective since there has progressively been more places that are benefiting from solar usage; however there are also some who disagree. Solar energy sources are derived from natural sources and is implicated throughout our daily lives. From the lights in the streets to the computers we use at home.
One of the most common drawbacks of the energy efficient construction is the high cost of enforcing. Although the additional costs are required to build and plan such buildings, they are balanced out by saving on energy expenditure; while, it is still extra money provided to build; thus, additional cost is valid criticism. In addition to this, building materials are not always available. The most noticeable negative feature of energy efficient construction is the environmental concern. Although it is environmentally friendly which produces less carbon emissions, it has slight unfavorable effects on the human health.
For many years now, it has been debated which of the new and upcoming renewable and sustainable energy sources if the best to use. Energy create from wind, is a very favourable contented in this debate as it is a very good alternative energy source. Wind energy is used all around the world. Humanity has been using wind energy for over 100 years. For example, we used to (some still do) use the wind energy to grind grain in old fashioned wind mills..
Eco friendly building material is those provide the appropriate service and lifetime, with the minimal maintenance, while minimizing the decimation the raw of material, the pollution from, and also energy consumption by production and use, and that have the maximum potential for the reuse. The use of the Eco friendly building materials and products are represents one important strategy in the design of a building. In addition, the Eco friendly building materials have benefits to the building users such as improved health and the productivity, in order to change the spatial configurations of the lower costs associated, reduced maintenance costs over the life of the building and so forth.
To meet the higher urbanization and higher population new infrastructure has to be provided and as well as has to upgrade the current
