In the non-fiction article, “Let the Robot Drive”, by Tom Vanderbilt the objective summary is about the pros and con of the future of driving. Tom Vanderbilt explains that driving has quickly changed from manual to autonomous abilities and that this quick growth in a car’s ability, will allow for cars to become smarter in the future. In addition, these autonomous abilities will be better than the human driver in every way. Tom believes this will lead to many positives and negatives for cars and their drivers. For drivers, the believed goal is to distance themselves from active engagement in operating vehicles which allows for more safety.
Showing that it is much smaller and flies at a lower elevation than the plane. Compared to the driverless car, which shows two men having a conversation in the car. It can concluded that having driverless cars could help with many distractions like, talking, texting, and changing the radio. The car would be beneficial to employers, businessmen, and CEO’s of companies. They could talk on their phones and do business work while driving to their job without having to put other drivers in
In the article this week, it addressed the pros and cons of what they are classifying as driverless cars. “They’d allow mobility for disabled and elderly people who are currently limited by their inability to drive.” This statement is one of many pros to having something that we don’t have to really control. I also think it’s the only pro that I can think of besides the fact that it would reduce the chances of head on collisions and human error accidents.
I do not think that driverless cars are the future of America. From personal experience I know that the batteries in electric cars are not very reliable. When I was with my uncle in his electric car driving to the grocery store all of the sudden the car starts beeping rapidly and indicating that we had seven minutes of drive time left on the battery. The charge indicator also said that the battery was fully charged. When we took the car to the shop the next day we found out that there was a circuit board error that involved the battery.

Cars and trucks are used for many different things throughout the world. Both of these vehicles have their pros and cons for different uses. One person may have a long drive to work and need a nice economy friendly car, while another person may need to pull a full load of hay. Many will argue that cars are better than trucks, but just as many will argue the exact opposite point. The most used argument for people trying to say cars are better than trucks is the gas mileage.
Gasoline and diesel are fossil fuels and aren 't infinite. Battery electricity are better, they don’t pollute and don 't burn fossil fuels. Instead of having a gas tank and having to fill it up at a gas station, these cars have batteries in their place and can be recharged with a larger charging station and needs 220 volts. The recharged batteries stay charged until the car is driven. Some people say that battery powered cars are slower, but it isn’t by much and battery powered cars think is worth slowing down a little if it means saving the planet.
Cars are the most important products in the modern lifestyle. Whether it’s going to work, school, the mall, or even your friend’s house, it’s likely that you will be using a car to get there. As you all know, cars can have drastically different prices and look drastically different as well. I’m sure everyone here has a car, and I’m also sure everyone here will be buying another car in the future. Whether you want a car that can fit a large amount of people, or a sports car that can go extremely fast, an electric car will almost always be the best option for you.

According to the hybridcars.com, Electric cars have low Maintenance cost. Electric cars have fewer moving parts in their power-trains, and maintenance measurement are devoid of things like oil changes, spark plug replacement, and other services required by a complex internal burning engine and transmission. They also have reproductive braking which returns energy to the battery, and spares the friction brakes, so brake pad, rotor, caliper and other maintenance is less frequent typically, as well. (Transition: After low Maintenance cost is fulfilled, the third reason is Safe to Drive.) 3.
Intro: Imagine waking up and getting ready for your day in a car that picked you up with no driver. I support self driving cars because i feel it will improve the future of driving. Self driving cars will save cost on insurance and healthcare facilities. Also self driving cars will help disabled and elderly individuals and will take the danger of driving out of the equation.
Emily Duff Bartel is the author of the article, “Driverless Cars- the ride of the future,” (document A) writes about how the computers on the vehicles can help these cars become safer, driving time will be reduced by allowing faster speed limits on the roads. While this is true, the faster the cars go the more likely of a malfunction which can lead to a catastrophic calamity. The incident would probably involve many more cars and can risk the lives of many, which could hurt thousands of people. Therefore allowing driverless vehicles on the roads is not a good idea because thousands would
A lot of people love to hear about energy efficient and environmentally friendly options out there. The electric vehicles today serve great benefits in keeping emissions down and using a more friendly alternative energy source. In my opinion they have made an impact on the environment, but a major benefit in using this alternative resource is less cost to fuel the vehicle. Gasoline is very expensive today, and using the energy that is used to power our home, is much less expensive and more available than gas. The environment, as claimed by environmentalists, suffers due to the emissions of automobiles today.
Driverless Cars You may have heard of driverless cars since they have been talked about by many people. Though self-driving cars have just begun to get so popular, they have been under development for years. However, no matter how popular they are, driverless cars just might be the most ridiculous thing I ever heard of. To start with, driverless cars focus primarily on pre-programmed information on roads, highways, and other routes.
