According to the increasing development of technology, internet and transportation become more popular in people’s daily life. They can learn about the culture and characteristics of different countries quickly in a more convenient way. In addition, the contact between countries will be more frequent, such as economic and cultural exchanges. The impact of various cultures and system of education makes more and more students want to go abroad to study and expand their horizons, but one of the biggest challenges for them is the difference in language. There are some people around me who go through these kinds of issues. Every international student needs to get a good score on language test which can help them apply for abroad universities. However, this is not the only way to evaluate their value because it cannot show their academic performance in other aspects. Therefore, universities should not whether international students are able to enter the university for learning by considering scores of their language tests as the main requirement.

The university is totally different from high school, and it is necessary for a university student to have a more comprehensive academic ability than before. If the university only used the English scores to evaluate an international student, it is hard to know other advantages of this student. Hence, the university should use different kinds of scores, such as the math or the science test.
