I agree Andrew Jackson 's presidency was during a perfect time. Andrew Jackson was a very strong war hero and political leader during his time. His presidential race and terms changed several ideas in America about politics. He was a self-made man who faced many challenges during his early life but he was able to overcome and to become a successful man. I think these difficulties helped to shape his character and to contribute to his resilience to keep achieving. He was able to gain the confidence of the American people and contribute to American democracy.

The era of Andrew Jackson which was nicknames the era of the “common man” certainly lived up to its name. As the seventh President of the United States, Jackson had a major effect on the life of the common man, in such a way that the life of the common man would never be the same again. Jackson’s aim, after the manner in which he was defeated in the Presidential Election of 1824, despite receiving more popular votes than John Quincy Adams who took on the office, was to reduce the power and the authority of the elite. When he came into power after the 1828 election Jackson began to carry out his proposals. Jackson expanded the voting right to all men, in accordance with the Declaration of Independence of 1776 which declared that “all men are created equal” instead of just the elite.
Andrew Jackson was born in Waxhaw, South Carolina, March 15, 1767, and died June 8, 1845 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was known as the man of the people. People deem him ‘the common man of the people’ because he bribed his ignorant fans, supporters and illiterate farmers (who made up 90% of the populace) so he could have their votes (the ‘spoils system’). I see Andrew Jackson as a person who disobeys the constitution and violates people 's rights.
Andrew Jackson was seen as a common man the voice of the people by some. By others he was King Andrew, trampling the constitution and instigating tyranny. Jackson’s presidency impacted democracy, through his use of the veto power, and his claim of Clay creating a “corrupt bargain”, which is not a turning point for a rise in democracy despite him giving white male suffrage. During Jackson’s use of executive power weakened voice of the people.

However, he abused this position of power and made several choices that were detrimental to the welfare and rights of the American people. After South Carolinians were upset by the Tariff of 1832 he was angry toward those who did not agree with it. He also destroyed the National Bank and authorized the Specie Circular.
In conclusion, there is much evidence to support the idea that Andrew Jackson was a tyrant and vastly abused his power in presidency. Jackson was a cruel ruler for his actions, some including the Indian Removal Act, his overuse of vetoing, and his temper and personality. Overall he was just not right for the position of a political

Some believe he was a great president and some believe he was the worse president. But if you look at it from a moral perceptive or in the eyes of a foreigner, Jackson’s legacy was far more villainous than heroic.
