The Los Angeles Lakers shot an abysmal 29 percent from the floor in their 90-71 preseason-opening loss to the Utah Jazz here Sunday, and many of those misses occurred the same way. They hit the front of the rim. Typically, a poor shooting night with so many players clanking so many shots off the front iron is a common sign of team-wide fatigue, which seemed understandable as Lakers coach Byron Scott has focused on running his players hard throughout training camp here. But Scott didn't think fatigue played much of a role in their shooting. "I think a lot of it is just, we just missed a lot of wide-open shots," Scott told reporters after practice at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Stan Sheriff Center on Monday.
I once took a risk when I played basketball. Risk can happen every time in our life not except playing the sport like basketball. Sports activity like basketball, we need to be careful about the accident because it is an activity to play with another player who plays with you. On Sunday, I was playing basketball with my friends who study in IC faculty in the basketball court at Mahidol university near to documentary 11. I and my friends were fun to playing basketball every week.
Another moment I remember was this one game , it was a home game at Strain- Japan. I kind of had an incident with a doorknob a lot that night. So let me explain my story here , we were playing the game as usual until the ball was about to be knocked out and it was touched by one of our team members. So what like any other person tries to do is get the ball, but the part of that was there was a door with a doorknob, so when I knocked the ball in I hit my back where my kidney is, on the doorknob which was very painful. The funny part is the next game I did the exact same thing again.
I can remember the game so clearly, it was during the second quarter of the J.V. basketball game and I had just gotten the rebound and passed it out to Kelsie. Next thing I know a player from the opposing team came up right beside me and hit me in the side, I feel a big pop and hear a loud crack. I’m in excruciating pain, but I push through it and keep on playing because it 's my last quarter for the J.V. game and it 's almost halftime.
Some guys and maybe even girls that happen to play a sport might have that certain goal that they are determined to reach and won't stop until it is achieved. For example, in basketball, whether it may be to make a certain amount of baskets or catching as many passes in one handed during practice. My goal started when I began to play basketball I wanted to be able to dunk, something about the ability to be up so high in the air and slamming the ball into the hoop with such aggression was so mesmerizing. Going to open gyms and not seeing alot of people with the ability to dunk the ball would give me that sense of relieve that soon I’ll be the only one to dunk the ball and everybody would look in awe. Took me to the end of my sophomore year to
As Alvin approached the court he sported a cloak of enthusiasm. He planned on having some basketball practice for fun, hopefully improving his abilities greatly before the basketball season begins. Alvin ascended up the brief flight of concrete stairs to the elevated court; he began to linger around the sidelines, while his eyes scanned for a vacant basketball hoop to practice with. Spotting one, he crossed several courts, stepping over their faded white lines, and avoiding the grimy puddles of rainwater. Finally, he

At one time he gave the ball to me and i got a little push from clyde and he was talking trash so i showed him how it is done.
I always played recreational soccer. During the basketball tryouts, I worked hard and tried my best, but there were many girls that were better than me. I didn’t make the team and even though I knew I wouldn’t make the team, I still got upset about it. When the coach told me that I didn’t make the team, he told me to keep basketball a part of my life and that I had a positive attitude. To keep basketball a part of my life, I went to some of the games during the season and to this day I still make time to go to the modified games.
The Patriots would get a few points before the Tigers would retaliate. After a long, tedious 3 sets, the Tigers were ahead 2-1. The fourth had just begun when the other team noticed a flaw in the Tiger’s positioning, and sent the ball speeding toward an open part of the court. Haley, the defensive specialist, saw the position of the opposing hitter’s arm and started running to the far right side of the court, knowing that the ball would land on the line and they would lose the first point if she did not move rapidly. She dove at the last second to reach where the ball would land, sacrificing her body to get the point, the ball then hit her hand and went spinning, back up to the center of the court, leaving a stinging sensation on Haley’s hand.
When we won the summer league I felt so good. I still have the trophy today and whenever I see it I feel proud. Playing in the
They had a very selfish player that had almost half of their points. So we figured if we just lock him up when knew we were gonna win. He scored about 5 more points to start the 3nd half so by that time i just started guarding him. I knew he was weak minded and just wanted to shoot over me so i was just gonna be aggressive with him the whole time. He finally got me in the open court and everyone cleared out it was just me and him in the backcourt.
Every time it is a close game, or we are playing against a bigger team, Coach has a simple message to us: just go get the ball. If we want to win, we need to just go get the rebound, or go dive on the floor for a loose ball. It does not matter how; all that matters is that we need to just go get the ball. It is when the ball is in the air that the game plan goes out the window, and whoever wants the rebound more is going to succeed. This is why I love basketball, because when the game becomes close and it comes down to effort, I know that no one is going to outwork me for the ball.
