Coca-Cola is a non-alcoholic beverage company that has some of the world’s most popular brands. The company’s top four soft drinks include Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Fanta and Sprite (Vault, n.d.). Coca-Cola has the largest distribution systems in the world. Coca Cola’s strongest competitor is Pepsico. One of the reasons why Pepsico is such as strong competitor is due to the fact that both companies have an extremely strong distribution channels and excellent marketing and sales policies (Bhasin, 2017). Coca Cola is a world brand. It has operations in almost every major continent. It has struggled to win over many health conscious customers as thus the brand’s sales volumen had a significant decline last quarter, but with the revamping of the brand and its marketing strategy it is hoped to increase this sales volume. In analyzing diet coke’s current market strategy it is very clear that they target people who are more health conscious for example customers with diabetes. In marketing the product as a no sugar alternative CoCa Cola has sought to break the barriers and stereotypes associated with drinking soft drinks.
