Everyone moves their way through life differently, because no two people are the same. We all have things about ourselves that make us unique. I would like to think at the end of my life, I can look back on it and say to myself that I made my parents proud and prove to everyone that said it was not possible wrong. My career path of becoming an athletic therapist allows me to continue my life as an individual in many ways. It was not until February 13, 2015 that I one hundred percent knew this was what I not just wanted to do but needed to do for the rest of my life. On that day, I was watching my favourite hockey player getting taken off the ice by an athletic therapist with a season-ending injury. Knowing then that I didn 't just want to be watching that happen to him, but actually be able to help him through the injury itself. By becoming an athletic therapist it would allow me to be myself while working, which would complete my happily ever after. Generally an athletic therapist’s job requires a lot of hands-on work, along with working with people directly creating many social relationships among co-workers and athletes. By experiencing over 13 years of school, I know the best way for me to learn, and that is by hands on work, exactly what I would be doing if I became an athletic therapist. Having the chance to work directly with people, is something I could never take for granted with this career, it is something I love to do now and if I’m able to do it the rest of my life, I could not ask for a better job. Being a social person, this job path would allow me to continue being that type of person and even encourage me to expand my social circle. Nobody can change who I am because I’m my own person, finding that job which complements the type of person I am is important to me and I think that career is athletic
