“Who or what has positively influenced you in taking the step to pursuing your education and career goals?”
What benefits do you think you can gain by planning your future at an early age? For me, I think having an early start lets you focus on what you really want to be in life. It helps to build self-confidence as well as your character. Future planning is not just about saving money to build a house and a family nor is it just about finishing school and getting a job to pay the bills. It is a step by step procedure which helps to achieve goals within your life and making sure that those steps benefits you in some way. My usual quote to my self was always, “With goals, you can create your future in advance.” Hence I focused mainly on ways in which I can improve myself both physically and mentally. It is important to have something or someone to motivate or influence you to achieve each goal. One of my biggest goals in life is to complete my studies up to a masters’ degree. My motivation comes mostly from my childhood goals, parents and teachers as well as my

Finding new books was a task I choose to give myself. When I was not reading I was observing, using my imagination to solve anything I can find. I was always told to find something else to do other than reading, which was hard to give up at most times. I would hide myself in the school library and drown myself in books. This was when I started learning about university and what exactly it was. I started admiring persons who had the opportunity to attend or currently pursuing. My new task was to look at what I was good at and what schools I would like to attend. The thought of going out of the county was also one of the main reasons I was fascinated at the thought of going to university. Seeing other cultures and meeting new people was a dream of a child my age. The thought of aiming towards the future with such a big goal gave me a new rush of
Some people are taught by universities while others by libraries. Ray Bradbury was totally the second case. Nine years after he was born the Great Depression made a descent upon the United States of America which changed his life a lot. During his schoolyears he was a part of different drama clubs and played a lot, but even though he was an intelligent kid, he had no place to go after school and the only way was to the local library. “Libraries raised me,” he later said.
I realized that I wanted to succeed and not fall prey to circumstances and bad choices. My background, while adverse, provided me with the skills to nurture my abilities and make the best of difficult situations. I learned to push forward in times of upset or distress. Once I entered high school, I immediately hit the ground running and, for the first time, I made honor roll in my first term as a Freshman. At the end of my first year of high school, I earned no less than a B in all of my classes.
Going to college has always been a dream of mine, I never knew what I wanted to major in or any clue of what career I wanted to go into. It all started with my love of finding out more about the world around me I thought is was just my curiosity like everyone else but it was something different. That’s when I found my love for science. At first I really didn’t see my love for until sophomore year of high school when we would get on a subject and wanted to learn more about the particular subject not just what was in the book. Around my junior year is the when I knew had to start narrowing down my college choices.
Many goals of mine manifest in education. Providing myself opportunities to

My parents’ has never gone to college, so I’m the first in my family to go to college. I want to be someone unique in my family. I want to be financially able to take care myself and my future children.
Considering your lifetime goals, discuss how your current and future academic and extracurricular activities might help you achieve your goal. You all may know me as Alexis Lewis the young lady that attends Carver Magnet High School, but ten years from now I will be known as the women who made a change in this world. Right now I am working through the stepping stones of becoming that person by being involved in many different programs, such as sports medicine, the Rodeo Committee, and being an assistant teacher. My journey as a Sports Medicine Trainer started when I was in the tenth grade.

I know by setting a goal for myself and planning has also made me grow as a student. My reading and thinking isn 't much of a problem. But i still have a lot of weaknesses i need to focus on, such has actually trying to read an article or sometimes missing key ideas of what i’ve read. My
My goals have changed a lot over the last couple of years. Bouncing back and forth between majors and deciding if I even want to be taking college classes right now. I kept asking myself why I should struggle with hard classes when I have a good job right now. But then I stopped and repeated “good job right now.” My job as a twenty year old might support me right now but is it going to support me in ten or fifteen years when I’m trying to buy a house and support my family?
Setting goals as a college student has helped shaped my
I want to achieve these goals because I know I could be something of importance in life and it would better me as a person. My life goals have changed over time because before I wanted these things I didn’t really care to do them, I wasn’t inspired enough to chase the goals. My family has helped me in the process of trying to reach my goals by pushing me to work harder and investing in my well-being. I do agree with the quote; “The journey toward the dream is the most important thing.” because if you don’t try to chase your dream then you can’t reach them and chasing them is the important part that will get you closer to your
