I am very outgoing which means I make lots of friends, from baseball I made friends from Delaware, Tennessee, Maryland, New York, and more and I hope one day I am remembered as the kid who didnt care where you where from or who you where he would always try to talk to you because he was always looking for new friends and loved

I want my future to be successful, but I know that cannot be achieved without hard work. As long as you are passionate, self determined, and motivated, the hard work it takes to be successful is nothing compared to the luxury of happiness. I truly believe success is drawn from passion and hard work, and my brother’s college career can prove that. Because of his success, I am more self determined to have a future just like he will: Full of passion, hard work and happiness. I am motivated to work hard on every paper, exam, and project because it will only prepare me more for the future I possess.
For these reasons, I hope to attend a college, such as yours, with a strong political science and international relations department in order to help me reach my goals. Another thing that Columbia athletics has taught me is to support each other no matter what. No matter the day, time, or weather there were always fans supporting our teams. The fans weren't just students either, there were school administrators, teachers, and alumni. Living in a small town has its pros and cons, however when it comes to supporting we are always on our A game. No matter where life takes us, there are always obstacles everywhere we turn. This is where motivation takes its course and leads us to the right path in reaching our true potential. Coming from a student who was always on top of her school work in high school, I thought college was a place that set me up for failure. But I was wrong because this is a place where I can challenge myself and find that incentive in getting me past my struggles. Although there are many responsibilities to take care of, I am able to push myself simply because of one thing: motivation.
But this is not where my journey ends. I can’t wait to use the knowledge that I gain from college and apply it into my career. To make it past the next biggest trial to come before me and emerge victorious is my biggest dream. I am very eager and anxious to begin this next chapter of my life, and I hope you will give me that
This is because, if you are to light, you will be taken advantage of and no one will ever listen to you, but on the other hand, if you are too firm, everyone will start to dislike you therefore not listen to you. It is extremely important to have the perfect balance of both firm and fair. Another point Mrs. Wallace brought up, something I have never thought about before, is using language that people under you can actually unerstand. Which basically means not to use huge words that your group will not understand, beacuse if that happens, again people will get discouraged and probably not understand what is asked of them. Leaders need to not worry so much about trying to look smart, and just use common language that everyone understands.

Prioritizing for a passion. This statement directly relates to chapter one and two in “What the Best College Students Do,” by Ken Bain.
