I plan to make tremendous changes to my life throughout the next three to five years from where I am today. There are many different changes that can be made that will enhance my personal life, career, and future career. Most of those changes require changes to areas needing improvement, as well as further developing areas I have strengths in. To implement these changes, I will address areas I need to improve in and the strengths that I plan to develop. As I plan to make changes in my life, the biggest improvement I need to make is having self-confidence. Lacking self-confidence stops an individual from moving forward, which is the opposite of what I plan to do. Within the next 3 years I plan to commission in the United States Air Force. My strength of self-motivation will be heavily dependent upon when pursuing the goal that I have set for …show more content…
Continuous work and commitment, along with a strong desire to further improve myself eternally motivates me to be successful. An improvement I need to make to enhance my plan is to improve in the introvert area. Being an introvert hinders my ability to network with people that could possibly be beneficial to my plan going forward. Throughout my life I’ve heard the phrase “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know,” and that directly impacts my goal because of the people who writes recommendation letters and get information from. I like to look at things in a different way, being detailed oriented is another strength I have and I plan to use it to my strengths. I know what my goals are going forward, I plan to complete these goals within the next three years of my life, using my strength as being detail oriented I allow my work, the way I prepare myself to any situation, and the way I appear to people set my future success. Although I possess this as a strength, further development can be enhanced through education and
There are many reasons why I would like to earn a scholarship for Pensacola Children’s Chorus. I believe, and have been told, that I strongly expemplify most of the traits, if not all, that are desired in PCC scholarship winners. For one, I am known as a very positive and energetic person, and preforming is my passion. I am very happy doing it, even when I have to sing and dance for hours on end. I can’t imagine myself doing much else with my life than preforming, acting, singing, etc.
Many people would love to change Alpena’s community. Alpena is a very phenomenal place right on the shore of Lake Huron, but it has many weaknesses. Imagine a place where everyone knows their neighbor by their first name and they all get along, that is not Alpena. This community that I call my home would be perfect through my eyes if it had three simple changes to make it more friendly. I would change Alpena so it would have more money and a positive reputation to the state and the world around us.
Many people face life-changing events and experiences that impact their lives and their countries. Melba Beals from “Warrior Don’t Cry” changes African Americans students’ education. Feng Ru from “The Father of Chinese Aviation” changes his country’s transport. Jackie Robinson from “I Never Had it Made” also makes it possible for African Americans to play professional sports. Melba Beals, Feng Ru, and Jackie Robinson all face life changing experiences that impact not just their lives, but also their countries.
Many goals of mine manifest in education. Providing myself opportunities to
Like everyone, I have weaknesses thats make me fall but, I also have strengths that help me get right back up. Spending nearly third-teen years in education not counting four plus years that will be spent in college, motivation is what will be need to get us threw the failures and help achieve our goals. Threw grade school and high school I thought of myself as a “slow learn”. I new I needed help but never asked for it. Reading “brainology” by Carol Dweck showed me I have a “fixed mindset”.
The prompt for this essay is quite simple: write about how your involvement in sports, community service, leadership, academics, and other extracurricular activities have affected your overall character. However, I feel as though this essay would be better if focused on my career in lacrosse and how it’s changed my life over the past five years, helping me throughout the good and bad, the simple and the challenging. Lacrosse has been a part of my life for about five years now. I started playing when I was in fourth grade, simply because I wanted to branch out and try something new, exciting, and a little bit out of my comfort zone.
I have found that I can make something out of myself by making my future bright for me. Going
In the future I want to be successful not only for myself, but also for my parents and friends to be proud of me. I want to end up being successful with an amazing career, and not end up struggling without the ability
During my elementary years, I don’t recall being interested in reading, but I do remember the first time I fell in love with it. I was in my 7th-grade reading class. I just completed a quiz when my teacher realized that I had nothing to do after. She offered me a book that I will remember for the rest of my life because it is the book that basically started my reading journey. It was called Tears of a Tiger by Sharon Draper, I loved the book so much that I read the whole entire series.
Contemplating ideas to make any changes to my community is a very difficult task. My community is one of the most supportive and considerate communities one could ever even dream being a part of. I am truly blessed to be living in such a noticeably beneficial environment. Moreover, attending Montour High School all throughout my life has shown me the great power of compassion and how rewarding kindness can really be. My presence in the community has shown me that the Montour community is special, and this has been proven time and time again.
This is how I envision my future for the next 3-5 years, improve to improve my life, and more, contribute to the wellbeing of my community. More than anywhere, I have learned here in the USA, that community involvement is a full part of an individual success. I'm aware that the way is still long and sometimes difficult and sometimes full of hesitations. However, to get to my purpose, on my side, I have determination and courage. I also have the chance to meet fantastic people such Professor Perry Green, and others, who know how to motivate and inspire by sharing their personal experiences.
Overcoming my Obstacles Obstacle--a word that most people in the world do not want to mention, but all of us have to face them every day in our lives. Some people have to face physical hardships, but others have to face spiritual difficulties. Overcoming these obstacles is very important for people to have a good life. Everyone has a personal way to overcome their obstructions, and each way has a particular lesson to teach us. I also have had to face many difficulties in my life, and my three big obstacles have been homesickness, car sickness, and studying English.
The past four years of my life hold both my highest of highs and my lowest of lows. High school can be a very awkward time period in a person’s life. Four years ago, I made the intimidating switch from St. Mary’s School to Algoma High School. There were certain aspects of high school which made me nervous, but academics was not one of them. I learned how to be a responsible student in my earlier years, and school had always come relatively easy to me.
In this part I will review myself, about what have I done and what can I do, so I can be closer to my vision. As I have mentioned in my current situations I have strength, weaknesses, opportunity and threats. My strategy is that I want to maintain my strength, overcome my weaknesses and threats and take advantage of the opportunity. My strengths are my calm and observant personality.
After learning more information about how to accomplish my goals for my future I am able to create more goals for myself during the future that coincide with what is happening in my life at the
