Though our body is an incredible creation, our mind a marvel, and our ability to love is fascinating, we still may not love everything about ourselves or our circumstances, and that is normal. But, excessively stressing over our dislikes can rob us of our inner harmony and energy and can adversely impact, exponentially, the already dreaded issues. An affirmation is a phrase that you repeat regularly and confidently to make a formal declaration to yourself and the universe of your intention for it to be the truth (it is aligned with the law of attraction). Affirmations should be recited aloud and often with emotional and positive intensity until they begin to dwell within your subconscious. They must resonate with you, and you should avoid voicing them robotically and meaninglessly. They can be recited anywhere, anytime; the more often, the quicker the desired result. I often say them while I am driving, when I am about to address a challenging issue, or when I feel uninspired / demotivated and need a pick-me-upper. 2. Encouragement: This is a great way to support the people and this includes behaving in ways that offer encouragement. Some behaviours include smiling, asking if a person needs any help, being willing to listen, etc.
Some people that experience these problems may realize that they are losing control and become even more frustrated and depressed.
“New York City’s Board of Health today passed a rule banning super-sized drinks at restaurants, concession stands and other eateries.” (Doc A). Individuals in the United States are overweight because they do not know how to limit themselves. If the government were to control one of the main reasons people are obese, then several people would not be overweight because the government would take care of the problem. Banning sugary drinks over 16-ounces would help people lower their sugar intake, which would help people stay in excellent health.
Positivity can affect not only one’s self, but those around them as well. In the face of responding to conflict, positivity can reduce stress and anxiety, help health, and provide a better environment. During times of conflict, positivity has been proven to reduce both stress and anxiety. In an article from the Mayo Clinic Staff, they commented that “Indeed, some studies show that personality traits such as optimism and pessimism can affect many areas of your well-being” (Mayo Clinic Staff).
Obesity remains a growing epidemic that affects people who continually overindulge, causing weight gain which affects many countries and communities around the world especially the United States. During the last couple decade obesity has doubled and threatened people 's health because of adverse habits of overeating. Due to the advancement of mobile technology, fewer individuals perform physical labor. Instead, many people work from a computer where they spend long hours sitting at a desk consuming junk food non-physicality activity that leads to obesity. Consequently, some of the expense to the community regarding how obesity occurs causing medical complications of diabetes, heart attacks, and high blood pressure which produce expense on the economy.
The article “Fat Pride World Wide” by Juliet Samuels describes the conflict in the US where “fat” people are claiming that prejudice and discrimination of larger people is a problem. This is met with the rising amounts of “fat pride” and “fat acceptance movements” which sparks many controversies. In my opinion, I disagree with these movements because they are ways to normalize being overweight (which is not a positive thing). It makes people more comfortable with being overweight even though it is a very unhealthy lifestyle. Some people out there are natural larger but there’s a difference between being too heavy that it impacts your health and just having a larger frame.

Courage, what is courage? Well from the dictionary the word courage means "the ability to do something that frightens one and strength in the face of pain or grief”. Courage is something that people display in their everyday life, you see courage on the streets, at school and maybe even at home but you probably never even notice it or even thought about it. The book Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes was written by Chris Crutcher, this book is filled with courageousness, mystery and spine chilling events.

In the book, Staying Fat For Sarah Byrnes,Throughout the book Eric had shown tremendous amounts of moments where he shows that he was devoted to Sarah. He is devoted to Sarah Byrnes in many ways. One of the ways would be when Eric started swimming and started to lose weight, but he didn't want to lose weight because he thought Sarah was going to think that he was going to leave her. Since Sarah was ugly and got made fun of a lot he wanted people to have something to make fun of him for so Sarah wasn’t alone. When Eric did start to lose a little weight he notice right away and wanted to change just for Sarah.
“I’m so fat, why can’t I be skinny just like her!” “How does she get the perfect body, while I’m stuck with all of this fat!” These statements are common among teenage girls of today’s society. Social media of today shows unreal pictures of photoshopped models and the “perfect life”. This leads to discontent of young women with their body and lives.
Obesity in THE BLACK COMMUNITY: A Serious Epidemic Obesity is a serious problem, affecting an estimated 300 million people worldwide. Its prevalence is increasing in developing countries throughout the world. More than one-third of adults were obese in 2011–2012.(1) Among non-hispanic black adults, however, 56.6% of women were obese compared with 37.1% of men. (1) The health risks associated with obesity make reducing the high prevalence of obesity a health priority.
Obesity worldwide epidemic Today there is an epidemic that eventually has affected all humans thanks to this epidemic people tend to suffer health problems. This epidemic is call obesity and it is a worldwide disease, obesity a disorder involving excessive body fat that increases the risk of health problems. This disease affects all ages it can be female or male it doesn 't matter, but there are more than 3 million US cases per year.
However, mental health can be causes by many different factors, for instance unemployment or a lower living standard (Nocon & Owen, 2006). Moreover, the lifestyle of individuals, e.g. whether they smoke, drink alcohol, are stressed, their diet and amount of physical activity all contribute on their health statuses, and can be especially related to cardiovascular diseases or diabetes (Nocon & Owen, 2006). 3. Review of literature 3.1 Stress and its types: Stress is an essential mediator of human behaviour. Immediate physiological response to any type of stressor facilitates survival of the species at its maximum. Despite of normal homeostatic regulatory mechanism, the stress responses can become maladaptive. Chronic stress, for example immobilization, exposure to noise, irradiations, psychological stress can leads to a host of adverse health consequences, including cardiovascular diseases, neurodegeneration, obesity, depression and early ageing (McEwen et al, 2004).
