In the United States every second monday of October people around the country celebrate what is known as Columbus Day. People celebrate in order to remember how great and amazing Christopher was. In school we are taught the basics about him and what he did, but we don't learn everything about him. We learn who he was, where he came from, and what he did, but teachers leave out the horrible and inhumane things he did. As we are all taught Christopher Columbus was an Italian voyager that sailed from Spain believing there was a shorter to get to Asia. His ships were named La Pinta, La Niña, and Santa Maria.
