My Hero Is My Dad

Everyone in the world has a different opinion about what a hero is. I am sure my opinion might be different from that of yours. For me, a hero, is someone who is willing to put hundred percent effort in protecting you from pain. They will stop at nothing to provide you with safety. A hero need not be a spider man or a superman or a batman. They need not have a high importance in society or have a classic sandwich named after them in a local pub. A hero just needs to be someone who cares for your happiness and loves you for being yourself. For me, my hero is my “dad”.
Good morning madam/master toastmaster and fellow toast masters.
Dad is my hero because he has always been in my life, from the day I first opened my eyes to the present moment. He is a teacher, a guide and a source of strength and support. He is whom I look up to with loving trust and pride. He is the one who makes me feel I am uncommonly beautiful. The one with whom I couldn’t go on without. Moreover, he is my first love and he means the world to me. Well, my dad 6 feet tall man who loves playing golf taught me a lot and there is many more left to learn. He taught me how to ride a bicycle, swing a golf club and tie my shoe laces. He also taught me how to embrace opportunities, treat others with respect, lead with integrity, ask questions, learn from others, love honestly and the word “can’t’’ is never an option.
