Have you ever taken the Myers-Briggs personality test, and received results that did not match your personality, at all? The complete opposite happened to me when I took it. The personality test from "16Personalities", labeled me as "The Mediator" otherwise known as the "INFP" personality, it also had an overview article that described how INFPs make choices along with the quality of their relationships, and their ability to think and distach from reality for hours on end. My results described me as an introvert, a person who follows their intuition and feelings, as well as someone who looks at the future rather than the present. I believe that the personality test described me accurately, because of the fact that I listen to others more than I speak to them, I daydream and think about the future more than I talk, and how I am introverted until I 'm around my close group of friends, then I am
I performed the assessment on January 26th at 9pm, and the assessment is an abbreviation for "Myers–Briggs Type Indicator.” It describes people by dividing several categories such as “Extraversion or Introversion”, “Sensing or Intuition”, “Thinking or Feeling”, and “Judging or Perceiving.” As for me, the result is “ISTJ” which are introversion, sensing, thinking, and judging. The purposes of this assessment are to understand about myself, to build future plans for finding a job, and to improve my relationship with other people.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an important look at the methods humans use in our interaction with our shared environments and how we relate differently to shared experiences (Cohen, D., Cohen M., Cross, H., 1981). Differences in how individuals relate to and understand our surroundings are displayed and sorted using scales for several fields. Extroversion and introversion are determined and assigned to this indicator using either E or I. A clear definition between sensing and intuition is also defined by the assignment of S or N. Also, thinking and feeling are compared and determined adding the letters of either T or F to the result. The last letter in ones conformed profile will include either J or P for judging compared to perception.
The results from the Keirsey Temperament Sorter shows that I am an ISTJ. The word ISTJ stands for introverted, sensing, thinking, judging. Those mean that one enjoys quiet time typically alone such as relaxing on the couch reading a book. One also pays attention to facts or details when completing something such as building a project. One typically tends to prioritize facts and uses reasoning, especially when they have past experience instead of exploring new ideas that are not proven.
There are many different aspects to consider when an individual is trying to see what career best suits them and who they are as a person. Some people are very strong and confident in who they are and what aspirations they want to see accomplished in their lives. Others are not so sure of themselves or have no direction in where they would like to see themselves after high school or college. In these extreme cases, one concept that people use that assist individuals in finding themselves and what they want to do with their life is by taking the Myers Briggs assessment. I took the Myers Briggs test and found it extremely interesting due to the personality traits that were given to me. I was given the traits ISFJ, which stands for introverted,
Although I can look back into my past and find many examples of actions or behaviors that aligned my personality perfectly with an INTJ personality type and perhaps in a relax environment that is my personality. I normally do not think of myself as the INTJ describe by many of the references. These references describe INTJs as natural leaders, hard workers, supreme strategist, able to objectively see the reality of a situation and able to adopt and change things when they are not working. These also describe INTJs as effective leaders that sometime choose to remain in the background until they see the need to take over the lead and analytical individuals with highly-developed imagination that sometime rather prefer to keep the time they spend
Week one: Reflection Paper Assignment The personality type that was indicated from my completion of the MBTI puzzle is introvert, sensing, feeling, and judging (ISFJ). I would say what surprised me the most about these results were the personality tendencies of sensing and introvert. The personality tendency of sensing says I am practical and cost effective. I do not feel like I am practical when it comes to money
The Importance of Being On Time Respect is something that we all desire, but earning it is no easy task. One of the most respectable traits anyone can have, civilian or soldier can have is time management. When you report for duty, or be on time for your date, time management should be a must. By not managing your time well, you could disrupt not only the course of your day, but others as well. Keeping your word and showing up on time shows that you are reliable and appreciate the other person's time as well.
I have replied to two other types of personality other that mine, so I have decided to reply to one that is similar to mine. Based on the results of the INTJ personality type, I found it to be right on point as my behavior, career choices, etc. The few things I found that were a tad bit unlike me was the part on relationships and not being capable of readily grasping social rituals, by having little patience and limited understanding of small talk and flirtation.1 I can’t speak for other INTJs, but I have a great understanding all such . . . It’s just that I don’t care much for it. In addition, the findings found that our type is capable of disregarding authority.
Watson from Sherlock had the ISFJ personality type also. People believe ISFJs are the backbone of the workforce. The suited careers for ISFJs would be jobs with history behind them, such as medicine or academics. I can also relate to the fact that people with my personality type like to do behind the scenes work and stay under the radar, but still be appreciated for the work and effort put into it. Something new I learned about myself was that being to nice and selfless can be one of my weaknesses and allow people to walk all over me.
PART FOUR: INTEGRATION AND CONCLUSION For my MBTI, I believe that I am an ISXJ. I believe this because for every duality, besides feeling versus thinking, everyone agreed with me. For extroversion versus introversion, everyone mostly agreed that I have a strong preference for introversion.
State-Trait Depression Inventory (STDI) was used to measure depression (Spielberger, 2003). A 20-item questionnaire was administered that corresponds to the depression subscale of State-Trait Personality Inventory (STPI). It employed a four-point Likert scale with 1 meaning “almost always” and 4 meaning “almost never”. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the scale in the present study is 0.93.
Being on time is one of the most common things you can find in any policy that is out there, whether it is for a job, school, and even the military. Being on time is one of the simplest of things that you can do to show that you have discipline, respect, and responsibility. This can also be one of the key factors that can hinder you from you reaching your goals, and completing any task that you need to complete. Missions and operations have many moving and connecting pieces that function together as a whole depending on a time sensitive plan. Being on time is probably the most common requirement in anything that you will do in life.
A personality assessment is a method of examining and knowing human personality traits, this means getting to know the characteristics of various individuals such as behavior’s and social affiliations, to actualize this, we will be applying the Myers – Briggs Types Indicator (MBTI), of emotional intelligent (EI)
