My goal is to obtain a career that will allow me to help people. I 've always taken joy in the nurturing and care of others, therefore I will pursing a career that aligns well with those qualities. Careers such as a registered nurse, or a psychologist of some sort definitely intrigue me, specifically the aspect of these fields that deals with children. Working as a child psychologist, a NI CU nurse, or a pediatric nurse would be a dream come true. Helping to nurture and take care of children is very rewarding in and of itself, although it would be amazing if I could make a career out of it. The career I am going to pursue will be a Certified Nurse Anesthetist. A CRNA provides anesthesia and related care before, during, and after surgical, therapeutic, diagnostic, and obstetrical procedures (BLS 1). Nurse anesthetists are also referred as advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), before a procedure begins, Nurse anesthetists discusses with a patient of any medications the patient is taking as well as any allergies or illnesses the patient may have, so that anesthesia can be safely administered. Nurse anesthetists then gives a patient the right anesthesia to put the patient to sleep so they feel no pain during surgery or any other procedures. My career goal is to become a lawyer in the Juvenile Court System, my goal is to be able to help children in anyway I can. I feel that children are always misunderstood and that all they need is a little bit of guidance to be able help them. Another one of my goals is to take care of foster children, I want to be help take care of them. I have a lot of aspirations, it helps that I have a very big heart and an outgoing spirit. Life has its twists and turns, but my overall life goal is simple, help others. I want to make an impact on others life, even if it is a small change. For instance, being able to hold a pencil is the difference between a student being able to graduate from Kindergarten and not be able to continue on to first grade. Being a Pediatric occupational therapist will help me make an impact on children at a very young age. Even small changes can have a large impacts, which is why I want to be that change for others.
I have always wanted to help people and to help them better their lives, but I never could figure out how I could make that passion a reality, until the day I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age eleven. After that rough period in life, I learned how I could help other people. I could listen to them and try to help them better understand themselves. Life is much easier for a person when they have people who believe in them like a psychologist or therapist. My college plan would be to earn a bachelor, and master degree in Psychology to become a Behavior Analyst.
I 'd love to be a counselor for troubled youth, but my #1 is to be a crime scene investigator. I 'm on setting goals trying to achieve it. After I graduate college. I plan on going to graduate school and getting my Masters in Criminal Justice and Early Child Education!
I am deciding to apply to the University of Wisconsin-Madison because I am intrigued by the opportunities the university has to offer. During my time at UW-Madison I hope to participate in intramural sports, get a job, receive an excellent education, and much more. The city life offers a diverse culture and allows you to learn about and to appreciate life. As I want to be a part of the nursing program I would utilize the opportunity to work at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and to work alongside other students trying to achieve the same goal as I am.

When I complete all of my schoolings I would like to become a behavioral disorder counselor. This career is for me because I love helping people, I want to help people better understand themselves so they can overcome their problems, and the human brain and the thought process has always been a huge interest to me. To enhance my experience I would like to work with veterans, adult homeless, and the mentally ill. My objective is to be admitted into the Master of Science degree program with an option in Rehabilitation Counseling, where I can grow and take on new challenges. Ultimately, I would like to assume further educational and gain work experience that would allow me to work more effectively with people with disabilities. The Profession of Social Work as a Career Goal Graduating from high school, I have always had a passion working with kids. I never put into thought exactly what I wanted to do with kids, all I knew was that I wanted to work with kids. At first, my career choice was to become a midwife. There were several complications down the road, in which I could no longer pursue that career choice.
My dream has always been to grow up and have a career where I am able to help those in need and those who are hurting. For most of my life, I have wanted to be a nurse until I started to do some research and realized that being a social worker is what I want to do. The thought of helping those in need not just medically but in other aspects allows me to feel like I have a purpose to my life. After realizing that nursing was not my dream job, I made an appointment with my advisor in order to get more information on social work and because of this decision I am where I am today.
