Guns have been the weapon of decision for probably the most severe massacres on American soil. Since early history, firearms have been utilized mainly for militia and defense purposes. However, the development of new gun technology has made guns more accessible and deadly. In spite of the fact that the second amendment gives the right to bear, firearms should be controlled and checked by the government since weapons have contributed to a lot of killings in America and will increase crime rates.
In order for us to achieve the goal of making America the future it wants to be, we need to reform gun laws and assure that firearms are in safe and legal hands. We need to unite to stop the illegal immigration flowing into this country and slowly bring an end to climate change and global warming. Gun laws in this country are way too lenient and it needs to be stopped. It’s tragic to say that gun violence, such as mass shootings happen so often in today’s society. Compared to countries around the world, the United States has the highest mass shooting rate.
It may seem at times that laws are being made behind the backs of others, however, those who want to be involved and look for answers will find them. On the other hand, some believe that there is a choice when it comes to owning a gun, and many prefer owing one as opposed to not having one at all. Nonetheless it's these same people who believe that gun violence is an issue and should be taken care of. Seven out of ten people surveyed in various communities believed that gun violence is increasing at such a rate that more massacres are to occur. If even those who owns guns are beginning to fear for their lives, its time a few changes are made.
Brad Pitt has said in the past "I feel better having a gun. I don't feel the house is completely safe, if I don't have one hidden somewhere." Also, Washington DC attorney general Karl A Racine said that, “We believe that the District’s gun laws are reasonable and necessary to ensure public safety in a dense urban area.” The actual problem is not the gun, it’s the person. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
Abortion has always been a controversial issue and has been negatively affecting our society for many years. The Roe v. Wade case that led to the legalization on abortion in America had caused large uproar against allowing such an immoral act to be permitted. Many people still believe that law shouldn 't have passed. Nevertheless, since abortions lie within a pregnant woman 's "zone of privacy," the abortion decision "and its effectuation" are fundamental rights that are protected by the Constitution from regulation by the states, so laws regulating abortion must be sufficiently "important." The pro-choice perspective believes that it is the legal right of a woman to choose whether she wants to have the child or abort it, especially in cases of rape or when the mother’s life may be in danger.
According to a 2008 online publication by the American Civil Liberties Union, “These programs recognize and strive to correct the barriers that continue to block the paths of many individual Americans, including women, Native Americans, Arab Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans, and African Americans. Affirmative action helps ensure equal access to opportunities and...to promote diversity in academic and professional settings, and to give each and every one of us a fair chance to compete” (“Striving for Equal”). People who support Affirmative Action believe that it can balance out racial discrimination when it is actually increasing it more than it was before the policy was put into
Many people oppose or agree for many reasons dealing with the Second with what Gun Control is. Although most people can say they understand what gun control actually is, some people can not. Gun control is an effort to strengthen laws to restrict firearms (Zimring 440). These laws aim to reduce the criminal use of guns (Zimring 440). Gun control decisions
The primary argument against abortion is the fact that it is taking the life of an innocent child. People often justify abortion by arguing that the fetus is not alive, thus it cannot be “killed.” Yet in most states, if a pregnant woman is murdered, the killer is charged with a double homicide. Scott Gilbert, in his book Bioethics and the New Embryology: Springboards for Debate, states that “The entity created by fertilization is indeed a human embryo, and it has the potential to be human adult. Whether these facts are enough to accord it personhood is a question influenced by opinion, philosophy, and theology, rather than by science” (43).
Those reasons vary in range from personal to universal and are generally based on the different life experiences and circumstances. Due to the vast differences, abortion is a conflict that will last as long as children are born. Although both sides regarding abortion have valid arguments, think about this: Is abortion really worth it? Do women really have the right to steal the life of a new living being? Fetus and future children are also human beings so it should be illegal to abort them, just as it is illegal to kill a murder.
Guns also save more lives than they take. Over our recent history, there have been heroes that have stopped mass shootings and other crimes from happening by stopping the situation using a firearm. There have been recent calls for more gun control and even the possibility of banning guns, these propositions have already been tried elsewhere and didn’t work. Finally, it would be totally unconstitutional for gun right to be taken away from the people. I am writing this paper to DEFEND Gun rights for Americans and why all the “gun control” propositions are ludicrous.
Gun Control Essay Gun Control has been a highly controversial issue in the United States for the past several decades. From assassinations to mass shootings every time guns and crime come together the issue resurfaces. Would Gun Control ensure the safety of others or make it worse?
As the saying goes, knowledge is power, and one way Sanders wants make America more powerful is by educating more Americans. He will do this by making college both free and debt free. If elected president, Bernie Sanders will take six steps to make college affordable regardless of a parent 's income and without going into deep debt.
I agree gun laws should be strict. Especially with everything going on in the news every year let alone every year with indecent happening to innocent people. It is just very sad to see people use guns for the wrong uses. Like I said I absolutely agree and hope that one day the government does make better laws for guns.
Gun control versus gun right’s has been the most controversial topic in the United States, especially for the past (5) five years. It has been said that gun control violates a citizen’s right to bear arms. Although, many citizens see gun control as a violation of their rights, guns still is the cause of innocent Americans killed for not having tougher gun control laws establish. Gun control in America is not the particular problem in America, but it is the number one cause of needless crimes today. This assignment is not to point fingers on which side is right, but this assignment is to come to common grounds to enforce safety for our society from needless gun violence.
Making it to where people can’t have gun honestly makes them want them even more. For instance when a mother tells a child then can’t do something that makes them want to do it even more than before, so therefore why do they think making laws about guns will make the crime go down. Honestly
