Ladies and Gentleman I am Maksym H. and I am here for the defendant, Ponyboy Curtis. I am making the claim that the Socials are the ones starting the conflicts between the Greasers and the Socials and they are always the ones starting everything and the Greasers simply retaliated. I will also prove why the Greasers are not the ones who started I make this claim because of many reasons starting with the fact that the Socials like to assault Greasers just for pleasure in turn causing all the problems and sparking the aggression. The evidence contained in this case proves my claim. My first piece of evidence follows; “I about decided I didn’t like it so much, though, when I spotted that red Corvair trailing me. ‘I had to. They were drowning you, Pony. They might have killed you. And they had a blade.. they were gonna beat me up..’” (Page 56-57) The Greasers were clearly going to kill Ponyboy here and so Johnny had every right because he committed Justifiable Homicide according to https://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2010/crime-in-the-u.s.-2010/offenses-known-to-law-enforcement/expanded/expandhomicidemain “The killing of a felon, during the commission of a felony, by a private citizen. They used to be buddies, I thought, they used to be friends, and now they hate each other because one has to work for a living and the other comes from the West Side. They shouldn't hate each other... I don't hate the Socs any more... they shouldn't hate... "Hold up!" a familiar voice yelled. "Hold it!" Darry turned to see who it was, and Paul swung--- a hard right to the jaw that would have felled anyone but Darry.” This is one of the only times that the Greasers fought the Socials because the Greasers don’t attack them for fun. Paul was the one who struck first when Darry wasn’t focused and distracted doing a cheap blow. They used to be friends but now hate each other just because, Darrel had to work hard but the other didn’t. The Socials discriminate the greasers, the greasers only hate the Socials because of how they are treated. If the Socials didn’t beat up Greasers in the first place there would probably not be much
