I am here today to talk about “Kindness” but first I need to discuss what Kindness means and how someone can be classified as a kind person. Well, Kindness means that you are considerate of other people, so you help them and ask them if they're okay, when there are feeling sad. So now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about this book, “Me, Earl and the Dying Girl.” The author Jesse Andrews introduces the character, Greg Gaines. A boy who doesn't like school and loves making movies with his friend Earl. And along the way, he meets people like Rachel and Earl. He gets put in a situation he could have never imagined. But what he learned from all his experiences is that he was very kind and caring to his friends, and he loves where he …show more content…

More into the book he then gets forced by his Mom to help make her feel better because she was diagnosed with leukaemia. He decides that he should help her, even though the last time they talked it ended very badly. But there are always times for new things, including new steps. I was thinking, what is the author's message and how can we use this message to benefit us with our future? I think that the author’s message was this basically what this quote means “Kindness is a gift everyone can afford.” Because in this book Greg Gaines and Earl worked very, very hard on helping this girl out, that he didn't even like before this happened. And after it gets presented at this his school pep rally everyone, just said it was bad and stupid. So you're saying that this kid helping a girl that is sick and risking his high school career to help her was stupid. Although that they were being bullied in school what was their last day, so they focused more on their future. Proving that they did not get affected by what other people were saying about him. And that's particularly my reason for coming here today to present and discuss this
