This program is one of many that provides for the younger generations to become accustomed to other cultures (Owen & Cross, 1983). The benefits are that each student that comes in contact with the different culture can learn essential life lessons on how to effectively communicate, how to approach different cultures, and how to adjust to the differences. A multinational culture affects each part of a nation. The best way to handle the issues is to work through them and learn from others experiences. The first thing to be cautioned on the is the language that is spoken and unspoken (Kinicki & Williams, 2012). One will need to begin to learn the spoken style of language along with the unspoken method. Each culture or nations have different forms of non-verbal communication. One could be taught the language along with having an interpreter. Interpersonal space can be the second miscommunicated area in international employment (Kinicki & Williams, 2012). It is vital to understand the cultural exchanges and personal space. One must become aware of the cultural differences like bowing, hugging, and cheek kisses. One cannot insult another nation due to their inexperience with the traditions. The third international misconception is communication (Kinicki & Williams, 2012). The verbal and non-verbal cues are cautioned and need to be studied before engaging in a global position and offending the culture. The fourth aspect is the time orientation. Again knowing the culture will give one the upper hand if the appointments will be semantic or if they will be dashing between several clients.
