He turned, and with a firm and rapid step he walked across the empty space. Every heart stopped beating, every breath was held, every eye was fixed immovably upon that man. Without the slightest hesitation, he went to the door on the right and opened it. From the darkness arose a lady tiger growling with vicious teeth and evil eyes looking directly at the poor man who had then just realized his love had chosen his death. The man with tear filled eyes quickly turned around and tried to take off running as he knew the tiger would surely kill him as it was meant to do.
