There comes a point in everyone’s life when everyone dies. You can’t prevent it, because you can’t see it coming. Particularly, one of the ways of dying is from the bullet shot from a gun. People deserve to see themselves with grey hair. They should not die before they get a job, start a family, graduate high school and college.
America will never see the day where guns will be banned. Limitations will be created, but will it solve the increasing death percentage that is from firearms? Without the ‘safety’ of guns, people would not be able to defend themselves should they need to (factcheck.org). However, that’s not true. Just because someone has a gun to make them feel safer, gives no guarantee that they’ll be able to shoot the threat and have good aim.
It’s a sad thing to think that people automatically resort to shooting and killing someone out of self defense. Many people may not know this, but people take a special day to honor all children that have been killed in the United States since 2014 (Dicker 1). Future generations that have been affected by guns are more likely to be violent, delinquent, and have substance abuse (futureofchildren.org) “We lose eight children and teenagers to gun violence every day.If a mysterious virus started killing eight of our children everyday, America would mobilize teams of doctors and public health officials.
