To What Extent Should Students Be Allowed To Have Cell Phones In School

The Columbine Shooting was an unforeseen tragic event that transpired on April 20, 1999. The shooting was labeled as a massacre that devastated not only the city of Columbine, but the state of Colorado and the whole nation. It is these types of tragic scenarios that make society question the security of the school, and the ease of obtaining guns in the United States. Two senior students, Eric Harris (18) and Dylan Klebold (17) found to be the only two perpetrators during the massacre.

The Columbine shooting took place on April 20, 1999. Two boys from the high school shot and killed many people, including one teacher. They had been planning the attack for months. They took innocent lives. Many questions have been asked about this and the one mostly asked was “Why did they do it?”.

For students, this can be important in case they become sick while at school or are in an emergency situation their cell phones can contain many important numbers that the school may not have in their student files; parent 's office, doctor’s office, and also close family members and

There is a great chance a stampede of guardians would come rushing to the school to see if their child was okay. This may damage the school, cause serious injuries, and confusion. If the students had cell phones they could notify their parents that they are alright. Also, if the students did not have cell phones there could be children trying to get to the office to call their parents. If a student was overly worried they could leave their classroom in an emergency situation.

Could Phones in Class Be the Key to Learning Seeing a kid in class with their phone out, your first instinct will be telling them to put it away. Cell phones are very useful to us. But, there are arguments against using cell phones during class hours.
