I plan to graduate high school in the spring of 2018 and then further my education by attending either a community college or even better, a four year university if God wishes me to. The College JumpStart scholarship would be an utter blessing for my path as my siblings and I do not obtain a significant age gap between us, inducing that we 're all attending college around the same time. The scholarship would really make life easier for my parents and I by saving us a significant amount of time and stress with such a great opportunity to at least pay for some books.
I want to attend college to further my education, be a role model to others and to better the life I live today. Being the first generation in my family to attend college is an enormous accomplishment to my family and myself. After I graduate from high school, I want to go to college and let my studies, grades, and interests guide me toward what I would like to do for the rest of my life. While going to trade school may give me hands on experience, better pay, and less schooling and or time to learn "the ropes" to get my job, I feel college is a good experience all people should have. While going to trade school may be time conserving, get faster better pay, college will teach me more, guide me, explain, and also elaborate on what I do know. College also keeps up on my studies as well as career-based curriculum where with trade school my fear is I will fall behind on my studies, but that can happen with either college and or trade school. When I go to college
The beliefs, values and family traditions that I have are the foundations of who I am. As I acquired more knowledge through the Jesuit college, I would help others by sharing the knowledge that I learned at school. I don 't just want to help people study but also help children by educating them in the different beliefs that are out there. I strongly believe everyone should have the same opportunity to be educated, because at the end we are all equal. Having a culturally, and racially, diverse student body despite how much money they or their parents make can be rewarding to the University.
I should be given the privilege of open campus because I am mature enough to use my time responsibly, I believe academics are important, and I follow Nerinx Hall’s guidelines. Furthermore, my time will be used more beneficially. For example, if I am in school during my free period, I can start a project faster if I am allowed to pick up the materials I do not have instead of planning out when I should buy the materials. Lastly, open campus will help me prepare for college because it will help me understand what the college atmosphere will be like. In your own words, what is your understanding of the expectations of the open campus program?
College is the path that allows people to take education further and explore depth into their interests. I want to go to college not just to learn but to also experience the vast world. I want to make the people I love see me succeed, I want to find my true self, I want to make lifetime friends that will support me, and I want to succeed in life along with no regrets.

I may not become a millionaire from the specific job I choose, but I will be comfortable with my salary and confident in my work study. This profession can be a dangerous and stressful one, but the feeling of doing good things for your community and for the individuals is one that most professions enjoy. The benefits of having a degree give me more of a chance to get a job straight out of college more than a person with no degree. As with any other industry or profession, as you move up in the ranks and earn more experience and further your education, your earning potential will increase accordingly and provide you with more options.
