Reading this essay has made me more aware of how wasteful we all can be. It goes into detail of what we waste and how often. If we know a way we can “waste not” we should make that change and encourage our loved ones to do the same. It starts with us. Take in consideration the time and things used when building your new home, go paperless when given the option and always remember it 's never too late to make a change.
In the past 50 years, mankind has created convenient inventions towards society. Creations such as the TV remote and computers were made. However, as technology continues to advance, people become addicted and rely heavily on these inventions. As the addiction grows, several people begin to buy what’s considered “new”. The company known as Apple, has sold over a billion iPhones and smart devices in the last decade.
In the view of technology during this century, it is everything to human beings now. A person is attached to their handheld devices now. The people in this society have now been attached to their laptops, even more their cellphones that are capable of being used just as their laptop
Other options for organisations are by reducing waste in the workplace through reuse and recycling efforts that have a positive impact on the environment. Less office waste means less trash in landfills. Recycling paper, aluminium cans, ink cartridges and even office machinery and equipment can help reduce the global environmental impact of consumer consumption. Other options, such as composting, can reduce waste even further. Organisations may be able to generate extra revenue by selling aluminium or machinery as scrap
There 's a tremendous amount of Americans who are not familiar with the process of any recycled item and this needs to change. Not only is that a huge issue, Americans recycling incorrectly and stores not selling recycled items are two other enormous problems that need to be resolved if Americans want to fix their discombobulated recycling system. After reflecting upon this information, one will agree that
“Food waste is an atrocity that is reducible, if not completely avoidable.” -Stephen Hough a famous composer once said. Food is a precious item many people do not have access to. Yes, you may have a surplus amount of food, but one should think about how much of that food do you waste. That food could go to the poor, unassuming and haggard people in society.

Statement of Significance: Recycling is critical currently if we need to leave this planet for our who and what is to come.
To begin with, people should recycle because it protects our living area, Earth. First, recycling can cut down pollution. If people recycle, there would be fewer chances of recyclables being burned, tossed in or near the ocean, parks, natural animal habitats, gutters, and schools.
Now we are talking about recycling. So, what actually does recycling means? Turning used materials that are labeled as recyclable over to your local waste facility designated in a disposal container as “recyclable” materials to be taken and reused as material for a new purpose defines recycling . In order to create a new and different product, a recyclable product is turned back into a raw form that can be used. Recycling efforts can significantly reduce additional waste that will not only harm the planet today , but future generations as well.
On the farm we recycle everything and try to stay away from using landfill as much as we can. All our silage covers and plastic is sent to a register collection point in Castlerea. All bags of meal are sent to Barna waste in Ballaghaderreen where they are recycled into plastic bags again. Plastic buckets and barrels are reused as either water trough or feed buckets for the animals whilst there are being housed. On the farm we take the environment very seriously and recognised that it is our responsibility to look after in the best way possible, we are looking at new ways to reduce our environment impact and carbon
Introduction People tend to consume a lot, when there is consumption, there is waste – and that waste becomes a big problem that needs taken care of, which costs a lot of time, space and resources. If not managed, in turn, the world that we live in will become a hazardous place for all living things. According to the World Bank, people throughout the world, “spend $2.3 trillion a year on food and beverages alone” (Global Consumption Database, 2018), that is quite a lot. In addition to that, the world count mentions that, “we throw out over 50 tons of household waste every second. A number that will double by 2030”
