In this increasingly modern technology era, the uses of video as an audio visual material is an intermediate tool for foreign language teaching and learning in the classroom. The uses of video in the classroom can help teachers improve their understanding in the class. The purpose of this article is to provide accurate and important information to foreign language teachers so they can be practice in the classroom.

This is because, in the modern technology now, there is a lot of using machine technology as an application of scientific knowledge. Ismail Cakir are explain some content such as reasons for video implication in foreign language teaching classroom, teacher’s roles and some practical techniques for video implication . For the first content, the author tells that the videos made for films and TV programs are authentic language inputs. The advantages of using audio-visual material such as video in the teaching and learning process of foreign language is that a teacher needs to show the video while teaching and is free to stop the video and repeat the video whenever he wishes. In addition, students also can understand the learning process without listening to the language spoken by just looking at the dress, facial expression, postures, details about the environment and gesture. In addition to the advantages, there are also have weaknesses in video use. The disadvantages of using video are the use of high cost to produce and get video and also the teachers need to be well trained to give students learning with useful and not boring
