According to (climate change. (n.d.). Dictionary.com Unabridged. Retrieved February 25, 2016 from Dictionary.com website), climate change also means a long-term change in the earth’s climate especially a change due to an increase in the average atmospheric temperature. It is rather obvious that the main culprits behind this phenomenon are earning tons of millions.
Scientists also predicted that the average temperature could increase between 1.4 to 5.8°C by the year 2100. Greenhouse gases can cause global warming. Based on Collins Dictionary, The greenhouse effect is the problem caused by increased quantities of gases such as carbon dioxide in the air. These gases trap the heat from the sun, and cause a gradual rise in the temperature of the Earth's atmosphere. Gases such as carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, halocarbons and so on, built up in the atmosphere due to increased use of energy and the expansion of global economy in the 20th century.
Global warming and climate change is one of the greatest issues faced globally. It is the change in temperature and the results it has on the World. As compared to a few decades ago, the global average temperature and the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased drastically at a very quick pace, faster than anytime in history. To help keep the temperature of the Earth constant, our atmosphere is covered with a layer of green house gases. It acts as a blanket to keep our Earth warm and protected from the temperature in space.
The greenhouse effect is a heating occurrence in the Earth’s atmosphere. In which the Earth experiences a temperature increase due to certain gases released in the atmosphere (water vapour, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane). The Greenhouse effect seems to be the main cause of the current global warming trend. This is due to the trapping of heat in the Earth’s atmosphere that’s radiating towards space. Where do the Greenhouse gases come from? Quite a crucial component of Greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide (CO2).
Introduction Perhaps let’s first ask ourselves what is Global warming? Global warming is an increase, on a long-term, of the average temperature on earth. It is generally due to an increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, mostly caused by human activities. ‘The emissions of greenhouse gases on our planet has increased by 70% from 1970 to 2004’ says Couroche Kalantary, a reporter for Global Majority E Journal. (I quote him as he is said to be a reliable source by some major American universities).
So what is global warming and what causes it? Global warming is an increase in the average temperature of earth’s atmosphere. The process of global warming works by, the light waves entering earth’s atmosphere and heats up the earth and is then sent it back into outer space in the form of infrared waves. But the infrared waves traps some of heat in the atmosphere , which helps the climates to stay at a equilibrium so we can survive. This problem is caused by the CO2 (carbon dioxide).
“Global warming is the unusually rapid increase in Earth’s average surface temperature” (NASA/Ichoku), which has been calculated over the past 100 years or so due to the greenhouse gases being released each year from people burning fossil fuels. Now not all
The average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere near the surface increased in the 20th century between 0.6° C 0.2 ° C. Widespread scientific opinion on climate change, "the temperature increase can be noticed that create effects on human life in the last 50 years" is that. According to measurements at sea and on land the global temperature increased of 0.75 ° C between the 1860-1900 year in both of them. Since 1979, land temperatures rose twice as fast as ocean temperatures (0.13 ° C / 0.25 ° C). According to the temperature measurements made from a satellite in the lower troposphere temperature since 1979, every ten years risen between 0.12 ° C and 0.22 ° C. According to NASA's calculations, 2005 was the warmest year by made measurements since the 1800s. According to calculations by the World Meteorological Organization and UK the Climatic Research Unit, 1998 was the warmest year.
Humans should change their daily activities since the earth is injured from carbon and methane spike. There are statements that say global warming isn’t the only and not the biggest risk we have in society today; however it’s not supported by scientific facts. In reality one of the biggest issues we have is global warming and its coming from an everyday use of cars and trucks. Cars give out big amount of carbon dioxide and millions of cars are used every day. This spikes carbon in the atmosphere and makes green house gas levels go up.
According to Dizon (2015), the world’s hottest year was recorded to be 2010 tied with 2005 however year 2014 had surpassed the record since then. Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Natural phenomena have change for the past few centuries as the glaciers at the poles have melt, flora and
