Halal Food Assignment

I would like to gratefully acknowledge some people who have been helping me a lot in this assignment. First, I want to thanks my classmate that is Joyce, Nisha, Kelly, Han Yan and Calvin. When I got question or something that I cannot understand, they explain to me patiently and teach me carefully. Secondly, I would like to thank my Halal Food lecturer name Ms.Azlina. She teaches me a lot of knowledge about Halal Food and I learned a lot from her. Ms.Azlina explains all the point very patiently and makes sure our class understand all the points. Last but not least, I would like to thank my family member. They always understanding me and giving care to me in the right time.

For example, mostly Malaysian is Muslim; they only look for the restaurant that having the halal certificate. Halal certificate prove that the ingredient, food and beverage is halal not haram. Muslim people also can through the halal certificate to know that the restaurant is halal or haram. Besides that, if a restaurant with halal certificate, the range of customer will be very wide because it attracting Muslim customers and non-Muslim who are halal consumers. Only Chinese can eat what Malay people eat but Malay people cannot try any food that Chinese people eat. So some of the restaurant change the ingredients and register halal certificate to let Muslim people try it. For example Dim Sum. One of the popular Dim Sum name Cha Siu Bao, it was a steamed bun filled with barbecue pork. But some of the restaurants change it to halal ingredients, for example, Maju Palace restaurant. The barbecue pork Cha Siu Bao they filled it with barbecue chicken to make it become halal.

4.0 Availability

Halal certification is the most important things for Muslim people, because they can pass through the halal certificate to ensure that the restaurant can try or not. To register the halal certificate, the owners have to ensure that the particular item is 100% halal and prepared only with halal ingredients at a halal authentic factory. The owner can apply online by filled up a form and the halal team will visit the restaurant for check their ingredients and products.
