This paper will explain the seven principles of patient-clinician communication. It will then apply three of those principles to my interactions with my patients. Next, it will describe three methods being used in my area of practice to improved communication between the patients and clinicians. It will ultimately choose one of those principles that applies best to my practice and clearly describe how I use it. It will describe ethical principles that can be applied to issues with patient-clinician communication.

One to one communication: One to one communication is a conversation between two people; which does not include a third person. This type of conversation has a start; which means the conversation has to start off with a greeting, one to one communication al so includes a middle section, which is when you and the person discuss the topic or of what your both going to be speaking about. This particular type of communication also needs an ending, for example when the conversation is coming to an end you can end it by saying “good bye” or “see you later”. Group communication: group communication is when everyone is involved in the conversation/ discussion, it works out best id there is someone in charge such as a team leader , who makes sure everyone
I can listen actively and attentively to patients and other healthcare professionals, and I am able to communicate effectively and clearly with them. I am comfortable working in teams and understand that effective communication is critical to building a cohesive and collaborative healthcare team. Regarding my academic record, while there have been challenges along the way, I have learned from those experiences and grown as a student. I have taken steps to address areas of weakness, such as seeking additional tutoring and developing better study habits.

In particular, communication can affect the relationships with service users and other colleagues. When effectively communicating with colleagues, managers or health professionals, will ensure that ideas and opinions are understood. In a care setting, it is a requirement to use teamwork and communicate effectively.
The first eight years of my life, I spent in India where I was born. Growing up I was constantly reminded by my parents that I needed to make them proud by getting a good job and living a good lifestyle. They told me this because they did not want to see me live a hard life like they did. When I was nine years old, I moved from India to the United States of America. Being in the healthcare profession as a healthcare administrator is a very demand job. As a healthcare administrator one of the major focuses would be communicating affectively no matter who your communicating with such as patients, family members, staff and outside organizations. Healthcare administrator are the abdicator for their staff, patience and facility. Today we live in a very diverse world it is important for healthcare administrator to be familiar with the demographic surrounding their facility. No matter what level of degree you are in most healthcare administrator is able to have strong professional back grounds and having the experience is necessary (Public Health,2016).
How does poor communication impact on patient safety? Poor communication can lead to injuries and complications through miscommunications and factors that impacts on the quality of care being delivered. Reduced team cohesion which occurs with poor communication is particularly detrimental to patients with chronic conditions as they are effectively treated with different health care professionals.
I have to be able to have a great amount of time management and stability. Going to college requires a lot of hard work and effort. I am constantly dividing my time between my studies and my job. Healthcare is a field that has a tremendous amount of responsibility placed upon the caregiver. Specifically, when caring for someone who has a disability, you have to be educated on the specific disability and the correct way to interact with the patient.
An event that was significant to me throughout clinical placement was when I forgot to introduce myself to a visually impaired client. The event that I encountered occurred on my second day of clinical placement at Fieldstone Commons. This event highlights the need for effective communication when treating a patient that suffers with visual impairment. I assisted in morning care for multiple clients, one client stood out to me in particular.
