People will have many experiences and personal traits throughout their lives. Some of the experiences and traits are useful and beneficial. If people make good use of that experiences and traits, it will help people succeed easily. For me, effective time management have done a great job for my college life because it let me save a lot of time, make my courses schedule workable and plan my calendar to be efficient. To begin, my effective time management skill does help me save a lot of time, and I can use that time to study. In the morning, it always has a lot of traffics after 7:30am. In order to avoid the traffic, I always get up early around 6:00am, and leave home around 6:30am. In this way, I just need to spend about 20 mins instead of 40 mins to campus, and I saved 20 mins. Moreover, it is not easy to find a parking in our campus after 10 am. …show more content…
I always plan my calendar in my phone. Therefore, I know what I need to do and how much time I need to spend on that thing. In this way, I will not miss any due day or forget to do something. I just need to follow the calendar and watch the time. For example, if I find out I spend too much time on some problem, I will put it away and discuss with other peers or ask the instructor during the office hours. Students should not spend too much time on some challenge questions. One time, I had a programming project, I planned to finish in two hours, but later I found out that I cannot. Instead of wasting more time on that problem, I stopped and move on to other homework. I knew that I needed helps for that question. I waited for the office hour and asked the instructor about that question. He explained to me some ways that I had never thought of. I believed even though I spend extra two hours on that question, I still cannot solve it without the help of the teacher. Therefore, I always fellow my schedule and never spend too much time on one
On those days at school I know that I have to get most of my homework done there because I know that I won’t have enough time when I get home from school to do it before I leave for practice. Also time management has helped me with school work in general. During study hall I know what work I have to do and how much time I need to spend on it so I know that I’ll also have time to do my other work that I may have to do that day.
For example, let’s say you have a huge test coming up, but the weekend before the test there’s a big party coming up. You know that you should be taking time to study, but instead you spend the entire weekend out preparing yourself for this party. You go back into school, and you flunk the test. You can take out of this experience that you should better manage your time, and dedicate part of your weekend to studying.
A full-time flexible schedule demonstrates the need and usefulness of time management techniques. It is even more imperative to stay on top of my educational workload and while juggling full-time jobs. The most precious resource is time, and learning to control time is the key to academic success.
I have been writing important due dates and events on them. Prior to this, I would remember information solely through memorization. The planner has helped to improve my organization skills. No longer do I complete the assignment the night before and my grades demonstrate the change. In order to make sure I have sufficient time to complete each task, I have formulated time frames.
The Importance of Being On Time Respect is something that we all desire, but earning it is no easy task. One of the most respectable traits anyone can have, civilian or soldier can have is time management. When you report for duty, or be on time for your date, time management should be a must. By not managing your time well, you could disrupt not only the course of your day, but others as well. Keeping your word and showing up on time shows that you are reliable and appreciate the other person's time as well.
Most people don’t like doing homework. If you don’t have the same classes everyday you get double the amount of time finish projects, studying for a test, and of course doing homework. You could also plan something out if you had and after school activity that makes it hard to do your homework. One way is you could do your homework on the day it was given. Another way is to save all of your homework for one day and do the activity on the other.
Being on time is one of the most common things you can find in any policy that is out there, whether it is for a job, school, and even the military. Being on time is one of the simplest of things that you can do to show that you have discipline, respect, and responsibility. This can also be one of the key factors that can hinder you from you reaching your goals, and completing any task that you need to complete. Missions and operations have many moving and connecting pieces that function together as a whole depending on a time sensitive plan. Being on time is probably the most common requirement in anything that you will do in life.
The span of four years has molded me into a totally different person. My view of my high school and the people inside of it has transformed completely, even though not much has really changed. Although freshman and senior year might have seemed totally different, both served to help me grow as a person. In my freshman year of high school my classes sped by incredibly fast; as a result, every teacher was forced to squeeze their instruction into forty-five minute periods.
As a fifteen year old, I never thought I would be thinking about college so early, what irony! I stood a little surprised when my teacher gave me a paper which said I earned the opportunity to go to college early. I actually did not know that was possible; I decided to learn a little bit more about the program, Puma College Connection Program. After learning a little more about the program I knew I needed to take advantage of the opportunity. I talked to my parents and they both agreed, so I feel encouraged and hopeful for my future.
Have you ever had much time to do an assignment but you decided to do it at the last minute? Is it helping you achieve your academic goals? Many college students have become accustomed to doing their academic tasks at the last moment because they usually say, "I work best under pressure" to justify their behavior in college. This practice has led to the procrastination, the tendency to postpone what is necessary to reach a goal, has become a chronic disease affecting a large segment of the university population. In some countries, it is estimated that over 70% of students exhibit this behavior (Schouwenburg quoted in Knezevic).
Why am I going to lie? I do not have any system for managing time. To be honest, what I read on chapter 3 was totally new for me. I do things when I feel comfortable and full of energy; in other words, this is my ability for managing time, and I did not know that. I read chapter 3 from page 64 to 69 and I took some notes about managing time.
This allows students time to rest and get ready to begin their homework. Once, the student begins his homework it is important that he takes breaks on occasion to keep himself awake and focused on the task at hand. All of these habits can be applied to a person’s future career. It is likely that many students will go on to have jobs that require them to put in time off the clock.
Time management is important to have because it helps get work done more efficiently and is a way to manage your priorities. Priorities along with making commitments are also learned from participating in a extra activity. Students learn how to prioritize their work when in activities while also finding a balance of everything else going on in their life; commitment is also learned but showing that a student needs to be 100% involved to put in their best effort to whatever they choose to do and to be be successful doing it. “Various research studies have lined participation in student activities to higher math and english grades, improved grades and homework completion, better performance on math, reading and science test, and an increased likelihood of applying to college” (Annemarie Mannion).
It involves setting goals and managing your time. Developing my motivation and concentration skills will help me to overcome the lure of procrastination. Effective self-management will help me to avoid stress and provide me with more opportunities to get times to finish my
Time management: Time management is a very crucial component if you are willing to have a productive lifestyle. To be honest, I have always had issues with managing my time efficiently. This problem had become a huge obstacle once I got into college. Thus, attending a lecture that focuses on time management helped me a lot with this problem by introducing me to different aspects related to time management: planning, SMART goals, and important/urgent matrix. Learning to make a specific plan for my daily tasks and make a to-do list to make my day as productive as possible is something very helpful which was advised to me by the instructor of this lecture Mr. Irfan.
