The three personal beliefs I choose are respect others, accountability, and truth. I believe my personal beliefs would benefit students not only in school, but also in everyday life. Respecting others is essential for students in developing relationships with peers and teachers. Students who learn to respect each other and authority will develop into productive citizens. It not only allows them to respect others, but also to respect themselves and to make good choices.

Effective communication is important in developing positive relationships because it is how we, as individuals express our needs, desires and understanding between us. How effectively we communicate will determine our relationships with each other ongoing. Communicating effectively will make children and young people feel secure around you therefore enabling trust to speak up and participate in a class and confirm understanding of what is being taught or the confidence to ask for help. Achieving effective communication will have benefits in a classroom by setting boundaries for behaviour and expectations of learning. When done effectively the children will learn to respect you as a role model whilst you are on the child 's agenda.

Actually, it can make children to concentrate on the positives and encouraging them is a valuable approach to guarantee good behavior.

CRITIQUE OF ARTICLE: I thought this to be an excellent article that provided a clear understanding of the paraeducator’s role in the classroom and how to make the educational team a success. There were several key suggestions that I know as a regular educator would be and have been excellent tools for my understanding of new strategies and teaching techniques. I can see where these would be extremely beneficial for the paraeducator as well.
