Developing in technology domain have been wide spread and its effects on language learning has been demanding and promising. Podcasting is defined as a new branch of technology for broadcasting audio programs.This type of programs as a state –of-the-art approach to perfecting listening skill has emerged through audio publishing online.“Podcasting” has become very interesting because it offers extra listening practice in language learning both inside and outside the classroom constantly. Importance of technology The new perspective in second language learning has emphasized on using technology in this realm of education. In this regard, Garrett (1989) claimed out that the utilization of computer technology in foreign language education is a part of a larger phenomenon known as the “new humanism” and demonstrated one of the most amazing developments coming out of the participation of advanced technology in education. The key concepts of multimedia are thus 'computer-based ' and 'interactive ' transactions. The technology devices such as computer, internet, facebook, and iPod are just a few instances of some common place technology terms that have made their way into children’s everyday vocabulary enhancement. According to (Hansen, 2008) interacting with these technologies outside of school for children is available but teachers rarely provide these devices to use in the classroom and so, unfortunately, they do not apply them in their educational contexts.
Following the aforementioned statements if teachers ignore the importance of technology in the classrooms constantly the gap between home and school life will continue to widen and students will come to feel that their culture is not valued in the school setting.
