Carmelo Kyam Anthony was born in Brooklyn, New York, 1984. He was the youngest of four children and was raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Anthony experienced a rough childhood. When he was just two years of age, his father Carmelo Iriarte, passed the way from liver failure. Kobe enrolled at Lower Merion Ace for high school. He soon became involved in the basketball program. Kobe was always referred to as “Joe Bryant’s kid” all throughout middle school. They both never quit, never gave up, or stopped(P//2). They were the most ferocious players wanting to be the best at what they did, and they both truly achieved it(Fanboy). They played by the motto “what you see is what you get”(P//5). These two thoroughly enjoyed winning and competing(P//1). They both combined for an outstanding 11 championships which is very tough to do. Kobe Bryant was able to win 5 and Michael Jordan won 6. This puts MJ ahead in the winning category because championships are what you strive for especially since MJ played for less years. Most players would be satisfied with winning one, but winning wasn’t enough for them. Their cutthroat mentality and desire to be the best escalated them to becoming two of the greatest players ever. What’s outstanding is how they both played in different generations and played almost exactly the same and both of them were not able to be stopped,

There are a variety of tricks the players perform during games it makes the games much more enjoyable to be watching. My favorite player to watch is Kobe Bryant. He makes basketball seem as a mere game for little kids. He is an all-around athlete is still going strong at 30 years old. He is a big role model to many kids who enjoy playing this sport.
