Have you ever wondered if you could ever change the school lunches in the Public schools? Well you’re not the only one, many other people thought about changing the way you eat at lunch and started to change it. Some trials have failed but some have succeeded at the trail for their public school. But some administrators what it to come to all schools, for the fact that they are losing money because kids stopped eating lunches at school. The school lunches impacting more than just the schools money, it’s impacting the students education and after school activities just like sports teams.
Determining the healthiness of food being served to students during school lunches is a very important subject. Although eating healthy is important it should not be the only factor contributing to whether or not taking away students favorite school lunches is beneficial. I don't believe that it is a good idea to take away students favorite school lunches and replacing them with all healthy foods is a good idea because of these three reasons. One, the cost of the healthier food, two, the student environment and mood of the school, and three, the fairness to the students whose only meal is the lunch they receive at school. Some people may argue that school lunches are not healthy enough and need to be changed to foods that are more nutritious.
Every day students enjoy their lunches at school. They always enjoy eating their delicious meals where they have the option to chose what they want. If their lunch is changed then their options will be limited. Changing the lunch to be healthier will not be something that will be very great for our school. If the school lunch is changed then some of the students that are larger could not get the nutrition they need and hurt the ones that really need those extra calories. Athletes need a larger lunch, and limiting the lunch to be healthier can affect them badly. students should be the ones to decide the food they eat, not the school. Although it can allow some students to lose weight, changing the school lunch to be healthier will not be good because it will make a small impact or even a negative impact,
When the school had change the cafeteria menu to a healthier menu I was mad because the healthier food taste nasty ,and I barley ate which mean I was getting dizzy at practice because I didn't eat a lot in school. Schools shouldn't change the cafeteria menu because kids will bring their own lunch to school instead of buying it, some kids will protest on the change of the school menu, they will be very cranky if they don't eat and might pass out. The fist reason why schools shouldn't change the cafeteria menu is because kids will start bringing their own lunch to school. If the kids start bringing their own lunch, the school will have less money to do stuff. Unfortunately, if the school have no money they can't pay the cafeteria workers.
In the article, “Are Our School Lunches Healthy Enough?” by Rice William, the author question whether our school lunches are healthy enough. He discusses the Hunger-Free Kids Act, a campaign originated from first lady, Michelle Obama, in 2010 to help fight childhood obesity, which affects 1 in 3 Americans . It can escalate into diabetes and heart disease, which can make a childs life worse and cost the nation millions. Sure it might be a hassle to get kids to eat healthier school lunches, but is it worth it in the long run.
The principal is trying to change school lunch menu's to healthier meals. I strongly believe that this is a good idea to change the lunches because of the following reasons: healthier meals makes kids grow big and strong, it gives you more energy to move around, and it taste delicious. Schools all around should consider changing their lunches for the better of their student. This is for the better of the student to have healthy food. I will go into greater detail in the following paragraphs. Although you may think that junk food is good for your body and doing you justice, but it's really not. It's the healthy foods that are doing it such as; vegetables, fruits, and milk. Fruits and vegetables when eaten, give kids the right nourishment
I believe that the lunch menu at schools should not change to a more healthier lunch. In fact, it would most likely cause a lot of issues between parents and the school board. Students would not like the fact that all their favorite foods are gone. Also, students would start packing their own lunches at home and bringing their packed lunch to school. Some kids might just go without eating all together. Teachers could start to complain or the lunch lady's about the lunch change. Another thing is the school could get a bad name or reputation if enough people complain about it to. If the menu is not changed it would save a lot of trouble in the long run. People think the menu should change due to obesity, obesity has nothing to do with healthy
The school cafeteria plans to change our lunch to a more healthier lunch menu and i believe that it is a bad idea. Our school lunches are the most important meal that students get and it would be unfair if students to take away their favorite meals. The school lunch is sometimes the only thing some students get to eat a day. Some Lunches would be left tasteless and unappetizing. I believe that if we change our school lunches that Most students will go without the basic nutrition that we need through out the school day. School lunches have a significant affect on students, and by which some have a favorite meal. Most of the favorite meals that students have are sometimes the most delectable items on the menu. By changing the school menu, these students will be
Until now, students have been demanding with teachers and assistant principals to have a better lunch or more options, it’s not fair students have to eat the
School Lunch menus need to be changed. Many schools plan on changing their lunch menus. When changing school lunches many students will lose some of their favorite foods. When the schools do finally decide to change the lunches, it needs to be a change for students, they need to be healthier and it needs to be something different for students. Although many students agree that school lunches need to be changed, many feel the opposite. When changing a school lunch menu students are going to lose some of their favorite school lunches. There will be less unhealthy foods such as: little brownies, or pizzas, maybe even the cheese stick that many students love. Although it sounds like a bad idea to change school lunches, I feel differently
Look back at what you ate at school and ask yourself if it is healthy. Is there healthy alternatives to school lunch? Is there a variety of choices to choose from? Are there any vegetarian choices for the students? These are just some of the basic questions you would ask yourself when thinking about the risks of school lunches. I strongly believe that the cafeteria menus should be changed in order to have a fair and much healthier lunch. Money may be an issue but there are plenty of ways to solve this world wide problem in the schools. Before there wasn't as much diversity and most people would have agreed to choose from two options what to eat. Now there are vegans, vegetarians, and plenty of allergies that could cause problems for someone
For a long time now people have been arguing over whether or not to change up the restrictions to the lunches served in schools across America. Many different arguments have come up in recent years. School officials should not change up the school lunches because some people need more food than others, they should not be able to tell them what they can and can't eat, and finally because it will take lots of time and money to make the switch.
Imagine that your school cafeteria plans to change to a new, healthier lunch menu, which could eliminate some of the students' favorite cafeteria lunches. Some schools may believe that this change will be a beneficial change, but i disagree. Students should have the right to eat what they please. If you, the principal, decides to change the lunch menu these problems can and will show up at some point in time, if the school eliminates the food that students' like then some might stop buying school lunches, the school will stop receiving the much needed money from these lunches, and some students might "fight" back in order to get their favorite foods back. First, if the school eliminates the foods students' like then some might stop buying lunches from the
I think changing the schools cafeteria is a good idea and a bad idea. It can effect some students ,and it can help some. The reason why i say that is because some students may be allergic to certain food items on the lunch menu. Therefore if the school lunch is going to have more healthier foods and more variety they need to learn information from students on what they will like to eat and what they are allergic to also to prevent any hazards. Students should always have a opinion in any school problems or changes. If it was my decision which i believe it should be i would put different variety of foods on the lunch menu but also keep students favorites remaining. I believe as a student in Prince William County we all deserve better quality
Cafeteria food in schools is made to be healthy for students, but is it really healthy for students if they think it is foul and do not want to eat it? Should schools change the healthy foods to foods that students would actually want to eat? School food’s job is to be healthy and tasty to get the students through their day, but sadly school lunches tend to miss the mark on both accounts. Public schools rely on money from the government to supply food to their students, but due to several cutbacks the thing served in the cafeteria is hardly food at all. We all know the stereotypical school food mystery meat Monday or a slab of grey mush and sadly that is not too far from what it is in reality. Even with the “healthy” options most school supply is packed with harmful preservatives and chemicals that harm our youth from buying the cheapest possible edible green thing. As a country does not seem to want to invest into healthy and better futures for our young people.
