Sarah Wu, who is a mother and an elementary school teacher decided on January 4, 2010 to eat the school lunch every day. She decided to blog about each day she ate the school lunches. Sarah Wu had experienced her students constantly complaining about the school lunches as well as hearing it from her own children. Sarah decided to conduct an experiment of her own to observe what would happen to her if she were to consume the lunch provided to the students for a certain period of time. Her results lead her to the conclusion that the school lunches should not be fed to the growing children.
and this is not all true. Many cafeteria staff members are nice and cares about the students. According to Cliff Karnes from education leadership department at Eastern Illinois University claims, “Lunch ladies often are on the first line of noticing if a child is not feeling well, not eating, being bullied or feeling bad because they did poorly on a test.” In fact the lunch ladies title name is not “lunch ladies” their title is Child Nutritionist. Not all Child Nutritionist are female when some are actually male.
Food should be banned in classroom because it causes other people to eat in class and cause distraction from working on their work. Eating food in class makes it think that everyone is ok to eat food in class when it is not allowed by the teacher. Some teachers allow it but those who don 't allow it are very strict about it because it 's their classroom and they may have stuff out like computers that can be damaged in the process of eating or drinking
These foods are random, you can never tell at which point in time you will fall into a low and have a hard time thinking or staying awake. All of the meals in a child 's day consist of something processed or not healthy for the body, which led to bad sleep and lower energy. This is another reason to make school lunch purely health-conscious food. The lunch takes away from the pure processed diet kids are used to, and makes them feel better at the same
Should Students be allowed to eat during class hours? Eating snacks during class hours is one of the few causes of occurring problems to teachers and some students who is not in favor of this. Generation by generation, our working force and time is being changed; including in academics, there’s a lot of work to do off and in school especially to students. Whereas in our history there is still enough time for taking snacks before and after class, where in today there are factors in which taking snacks in the usual time is disabled.
As a senior at Patrick Henry High School (PHHS), I am greatly concerned with the inadequate fulfillment of public school children’s dietary needs and the poor quality of school lunches. The lack of the necessary components from the meals provided by the district shows the scarcity of care towards students. By purchasing local, fresh produce from San Diegan farms, the nutritional value of meals would be greatly enriched; furthermore, it would lead to a reduction of costs and an effort to prevent childhood obesity. Poor eating habits instigate the enervated physiques and well-beings of students. In order to deter from these detrimental results, support from the district is crucial.
So trust more with the Trustworths today. The first issue we have noticed is the food the schools serve. Many students have said the food is disgusting and that it makes them sick. We have came up with a solution for this issue. Each month we will have an optional survey for students to take, to pick the foods they would like to eat, and
By the end of Basics class with Mrs. Pulse, an awesome teacher, we all got to eat lunch. We were pointed toward the table we were supposed to be seated at. Before we were able to get our lunch, Principal Broughton told us about a new recycle program that the school had enforced. It made sure that each student dispose of their garbage in a way that gives back to the environment. I did as I was told and left without any emotion of joy or happiness.
Imagine you are eating lunch, while you are taking a bite into your sandwich your principal comes outside and tells you that lunch is over. You then go for the rest of the day hungry and unenergized. That is what our schools lunch times are like. What are the benefits of having a longer lunch time? Having a longer lunch time allows us to be full of energy for the rest of the day, have time to talk to our friends, and last but not least we need it gives us time to process what we have learned.
While sitting in their rancid cafeteria, many student have pondered about what goes into school lunches. Not just from interests and curiosity, but from the fact that many of their fellow peers are experiencing diarrhea, stomach pains, and vomit. Are school lunches really worth it? After some surveying within Cooper Middle School, less than half of the students have experienced food borne illnesses due to school lunches.
Two of teacher assistants were sharing a bag of hot Cheetos. Many students were interested in the tempting looking snack hot Cheetos rather than an animal cracker that they got from Ms. B. Teacher assistants refused to share their snack with students and I believe that it was because the hot Cheetos is not good for children. Ms. B called her class and asked them to sit on the alphabet
Have your parents ever asked you what you had for lunch? Have they told you that the one thing they miss was school lunch? My parents have and the reason why they missed it was being use they had homemade meals. I wish Bellmont high school would spend a little more time and money on our school lunches. At school, I expect a good lunch everyday day and something that will make me full too.
Student Declaration of Independence Preamble: When in the course of life events, we are writing this Declaration of Independence to declare that we should be able to have off campus lunch because what we are served at lunch is basically the same thing from the day before. Us as students should have the right to be able to have our own say in this. Declaration: We hold these truths to be obvious that we should get better lunch or be able to go off of campus to get our own food because here at school we get the same food everyday and the food doesn't even taste real.
Are you a teacher whose students are distracted or even hungry after lunch? Do your kids go to the nurse’s office too much because they threw up earlier at recess? If you answered yes to any of these questions then I have a solution for you! Instead of having recess after lunch, why don’t we have it before? I think that all schools should have recess before lunch.
We all have experienced the terrible days of eating school lunches. Five days a week you sit in a room full of loud and obnoxious kids as you try and enjoy the not so fantastic food that is served to you. When I was in grade school we were given this meal that I absolutely loved out of the rest and it was called Stromboli. It was made of bread, ham, cheese, and a delightful marinara sauce. It was the meal I always looked forward to each month.
