Today is the second game of the, 2014 baseball state tournament, held in Wahpeton ND. My team and I are so pumped! We get to play our rivals, Fargo. We only hate them, because we play them so much. We drove down to Wahpeton in groups within our team. It only took about a 45 minute drive. Once we got to the field, I opened up the car door, and took a huge deep breath saying to myself, what another great day. I got out of the car and could start to smell hot dogs and humidity.
If you like baseball you are going to love this story about my fun state baseball tournament! We had 11 players, three coaches, and a lot of fans and parents. You will hear about how we did, what I did, and what happened. Now you will read about my team and I did, and everything else that happened.
It was a scorching 100 degree summer day. It was the start of the 11 year state championship baseball game against Albert Lea, I still remember that game like it was yesterday. It was miserable out we played three games that day before reaching the state championship. When the game started I kind of forgot about how hot it was out. We started fast scoring 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning Dylan and Reno each crossed the plate that inning. Derek took the hill to pitch, he started with 2 strikeouts and a lazy fly ball to left field. Then I was up to start the top of the second inning and I watched the first two pitches pass for balls and then on the third pitch of the at bat I hit a line drive to left field for a single but the next three batters all got out. Tanner got up and said
It was October, 21st the Riverside High School Bulldogs Homecoming game. They were 8 and 1 and they needed this win to advance to the State Championship. All the pressure was on all star quarterback John Tortellini. After the last bell rang the team meet up in the football weight room so they could get a pregame workout in. John was Partners with his best friend Eddie, they lifted for about an hour then they moved into the showers so they could clean up for dinner. John as he always did before he went into the shower he took off his glasses and placed them on the bench next to the door.
I flew out of bed and put on my uniform. We were at the field around 8 a.m. the reason why we had to be there so early was because I had 3 games! We won both the first and second game. I didn’t get out once. It was time for the third game.
I was almost sure we were going to win. Then, the game started. The game was going very poorly; my team was not getting fair calls from the umpires and we weren 't hitting very well. And finally, we lost. I felt like everything was collapsing around me.
The umpires soon arrive and our three coaches call us over, to say “We did not try this hard and make it this far to lose, so let's go get that win boys!” my team replied with “Let’s go
I tried to score, but the throw was on point and I got out. My mom told me good job and that made me feel better. My coach told me the it was a good attempt. In the fourth inning, I came back up again.
With the herbaceous smell of freshly cut grass and the salty taste of sunflower seeds, a baseball field strikes me as a place where I feel perfectly content. The wonderful home of the sport I have loved as long as I can remember brings a sense of calmness. Baseball fields remind me of great memories, give me a strong sense of confidence, and cause me to strive for a greater future.
Narrative essay Life throws many challenges at you, but you need to know when to tackle them and when not to. A challenge is something that Is a struggle for you and needs more attention than a problem. Now I know this from experience from the time that my baseball team was in the league finals and disaster struck out. The day was June 13, 2015. This day is a day that will always teach me something new and life mending every time that I bring it up.
Softball. My favorite sport. It’s not a contact sport so, the chances of me injuring another player are slim to none. Or so i thought….. I was in Traverse City last year with my team for a softball tournament. It was the fifth inning of our morning game, we were down by a few runs and I was on deck. “There is one out,” I thought to myself “I have to get on base.”
All of us had fun, but we were exhausted. We went back to the rental and played some video games. Soon after my mom shouted, “Come eat dinner!” Then me and my sisters raced down the stairs and went right to the dining room. We ate to our fill and then we went right to
I had a baseball game against the White Sox. When I got down there I found out I wasn’t pitching first, so I waited till it was my turn to pitch and when it finally happened it was 5-5 in the top of the 4th and I pitched a no-hitter. Finally it was the bottom of the 5th and still 5-5 and I came up to bat against Kaden Eugenio and he threw it right down the middle so I hit it far to right-center. It hit the fence but it didn’t go over so I ran.
I kept going for the guy next to me performing to the best to his ability. Success was the result of all the hard relentless work done throughout June into August. I acknowledged that my team had a good group of seniors who were high character student-athletes I spent most of childhood with. Ultimately finishing with a record of 3 wins and 7 loses taught me many lessons on becoming a better person and
I played basketball with my cousins Bradley and Shane, we played for about 30 min. Then we went inside and ate, we had, rolls, chicken, potatoes, beans and stuffing. After that we talked and then went
