Moreover, we will provide advice and ways to be free from the school brutality or to report the incident without damaging to the victims. Bullying is repeated or has potential to be repeated ‘unwanted’ and ‘aggressive’ action via any methods embracing the internet, message or face to face. It not only counts the physical harassment, but also mental assault such as swearing, teasing or producing malicious comments. For the bullies, I hope you felt and learned the feelings of the bullied and stop hurting others voluntarily. We will no more ignore or look over the school violence.
Furthermore, bullying can lead to emotional harm which can change the life of a target for the worse. Due to of bullying’s emotional impact on students, Bullis Charter School has put some anti-bullying measures in place. One of these measures is called a solution team. Another student who was interviewed said he had been part of 2 solution teams. He reported the existence of a No Bully Referral Form which, he said, could be used to report bullying to one’s self and others.
Transitioning from middle school band to high school band was a major jump because of all the time involved, but it was such a great transition. Since my freshman year I have always done all I can to be my absolute best in this program. I never slacked off on practice unless I had another event I had to attend. Every summer we have band camp that consists of 8 hours a day working our hardest to get the season started. Once school starts the color guard had three hour practices three times a week, last year it was only two, and now we only have practice one day a week because of the effort we all put in at band camp this year.

Current Event #5 Summary Bullying is still a serious problem that has no algorithm to resolving it. Some of those who get bullied overcome it, but most usually end up with bad consequences, such as having mental disorders, or even commit suicide. However, those who bully also suffer. Both bullies and victims suffer from “sleep disturbances, gastrointestinal concerns, and headaches.”
Responding to Conflict Everybody encounters conflicts in their life very often, some more often than others. How a person responds to conflict can determine whether they are successful or met with complete failure. A person’s response to a conflict can have either a positive or negative impact on that person and the people around them. In the book Shatter Me, by Tahereh Mafi, the main character’s biggest conflict is a man vs self conflict.
How many people commit suicide in the U.S. each year, the number is staggering, of the 323 million people living in the U.S. about 42 thousand of them have taken their own lives. Those that have taken their lives couldn’t stand the suffering they felt. A lot of people may not know, but suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. not to mention all across the world in other countries. Just within the U.S. about 117 people commit suicide each day, most of which are middle age white males. Almost every year the U.S. loses billions of dollars because of suicide, that’s about 83 million dollars a month.
I WAS BULLIED
During my first year of middle school, I faced an enormous challenge: being bullied. Prior to middle school, I had been bullied throughout elementary school. However, in middle, the stakes became higher and my stress levels became to the point where I wanted to be alone. This was a very frustrating challenge because I was always a very strong student with high grades. I was a great student, listening and paying attention, never got in trouble.
From this day, I still remember how lonely I felt and how badly I wanted to be accepted. I dreaded to go to recess because I wasn't sure what type of crowd I would “ fit in” with. As I walked in class, I saw everyone divided into various cliques and eventually I found myself every week trying to fit in with a different one. I tried my best to act like those kids in order to fit in, I changed so many things such as my attitude, my clothing, my hairstyles and how I spoke in the span of one year. I was so desperate to feel like I was not alone and had real friends that I basically would’ve done anything for others to like me.
Bullying is an undesirable, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves actual disparity of power. According to Megan Brooks bullying is a serious public health problems, with significant short-and long-term psychological consequences for the child who is bullied and the child who is the bully. This only tells us that bullying can lead to difficulty that a certain children may experience and will have either short or long term problem. “Bullying has long been tolerated as a rite of passage among children and adolescents, but it has lasting, negative consequences and cannot simply be ignored.” Committee chair Frederick Rivera, MD.
“Bullying will not be tolerable, if any student is bullied he or she may get in touch with the teacher and strict actions will be taken against the bully “this is a classic example of what the authority in this case the teacher would say in his speech about the practice of bullying .But they don’t really know what will happen to the student after he has informed the authority , even if the most severe action would be taken nothing much would happen except new a definition would be added to define the person such as a complaint box or coward. At a very small age he was asked who you are, he is supposed to know who he is because if he does not know others will tell who you are for example fat show, geek, obese, bones, after some years he is
Bullying has been named an “emerging public health issue requiring intervention” (Ansary, Elias, Greene, & Green, 2015, p. 27). As a major problem in schools around the world, the issue of bullying must be addressed in order to keep students physically and emotionally safe. The act of bullying not only affects the well-being of the person being targeted, but it also affects the rest of the school community too. It can be difficult for teachers, principals, and superintendents to make an ethical decision about what to do when bullying occurs because there are misunderstandings about what bullying is, leading to the improper identification of situations.
It was a diverse and strict school with many rules I had follow so I knew I had to make a big adjustment. It was challenging for me to come from a school with nothing but freedom and those I’m used to being around on a daily basis to an environment where they teach and students there learn and actually had an interest to want to. I tried to adjust their but I just couldn’t and found myself not attending school once again.
Bullying is defined as repeated oppression, physical or psychological of a less powerful individual by a more powerful individual, people or group. It consists of three main types of abuse which are physical, verbal and emotional. Bullying in schools is a common and worldwide spread problem that can have critical and negative implications on the general school climate as well as on the right of students to study in a safe and secure environment without fear. Many people believe that bullying is part of life, happens in all schools and so it’s not an issue to worry about and that it lets individuals know what life is all about as it toughens them but in reality bullying is a detrimental problem that affects most school going children and teenagers physically, emotionally and socially.
