I was in complete shock from when I was told I could chose a destination until the flight and hotels were paid for. I was still in shock when we were at the Portland airport about to board the plane. I remember being so tired because it was quite early but also thrilled at the same time. I remember walking down the jet-way just looking at Rylie; neither of us could stop smiling. I had to do everything to hold back from screaming in excitement.
I full of excitement (Absolute), got to packing as soon as I found out. We got there by driving I believe my parents realized their mistake at about hour two because of hearing "are we almost there" every couple of minutes. We left at night so that we could sleep most of the ride, but I couldn’t, I was so excited. When we finally got there, it was amazing and all I had seen was the hotel room. We stayed in the resort so that things were more continent.
This summer, my church took a missions trip to Puerto Penasco. It wasn 't the easiest trip to plan, seeing we only had two months to plan for it, and pay for it. Yes, this trip was spontaneous, and we worked very hard to get the money for it. It was a hot day when I and the rest of the missions team got out of the airplane in Phoenix, Arizona. We had been on a flight for about three hours, and I was very scared, because that was my first time on a plane.
When I was 8 years old, my family and I hopped on a plane to San Francisco, California for a family field trip. It took exactly 7 hours to fly from Albany, Ga to San Francisco on the plane, but it didn’t bother me because I had food and took 2 naps during the flight. I was very excited to go to California but I wondered why we were going all the way there and not somewhere closer to Georgia. I ask my mom why we were going there, but she wouldn’t tell me; she said that it was a surprise. After the flight was over, my mom, 14 years old sister, and my 7-month-old sister, and stepfather paid a taxi driver to take us to The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay hotel.
I have always thought of going to kings island until i was told i was going to go this summer. When i was told i was going to kings island i was so excited, i had never been to an amusement park or anything like kings island. I was told i had to go to bed really early because if i didn 't i would be really tired, because you have to walk around a lot at kings island and it is a huge park. It took about two hours to get to the park which seemed to take forever but we finally made it there. I had never been on a real roller coaster before so my brother chris figured it would be better if we started off with the wooden rides and work our way up and also we had fastlane passes which let you practically cut the whole line, but we rode all the wooden rides first, the first one i rode was the adventure express which was really cool.
I was seven years old at the time and like most seven year olds i've dreamed of going to disney world.but there was one bad thing about it we had to take a bus to get there. Well at the time they told me we had to but we really didn't.and what made it worst was that all majority of my family was coming.why you ask is that such a bad thing its fun doing things with family.yeah your right in all but we going to all going to be on a bus for over 10 hours together. I remember the time only a few of us took a trip and we argued and argued till we got there and that trip was less than 5 hours long.so i had very low expectation for this trip that we were about to go on.the trip wasn't that important but it wasn't that bad. We had finally arrived and i was filled with excitement. this was my first time going to disney world and i wasn't about to take any moment for granite.
It was a thirteen hour flight, but it didn't feel that long. When we got there, our relatives picked us up, and took us to our hotel in Karachi. After a few days, it was time for the wedding. We got changed in our nice clothes and called the driver. It was at least a 30 minute drive.
It was great to see them since the last time we had met was a long time ago. We drove all the way to Dexter as they proceeded to ask me the usual questions: how my flight went, if I had met any new friends, and so on. All I wanted was to get home to study my flashcards that I had been using on the plane. This next week was leading up to one of the pivotal moments in my life, because I would go to my first day at my new high school. I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Despite the drastic price increase. So, about 5 months later, I was headed to Boston. June 25th, I was dressed for success and ready to get on my first ever plane ride alone. After, an hour or so of lines and security, I was waiting and ready to board the plane. Luckily, I had met a girl from Hannibal who was also attending the congress meeting and it seemed like all my nerves and worries disappeared and I was ecstatic to get on that plane and get to Boston.
I, Dan McWilliams, woke up at 5:45 to go to work for the FDNY. It was sunny day with clear skies, little did I know the horrors of the day to come. I got to work at 6:45, we were at the station for about 2 hours. Next thing we know every fire station in New York is being called to the twin towers because of an apparent plane crash. It was 8:46 the first plane hit the North Tower, when we arrived it was chaos.
My husband was driving and said that we were going to stop to get something to eat once we got to Kansas City because we were about 4 hours ahead of schedule. We were probably a little more than the halfway mark, and then all of a sudden BANG! We were in a crash. Now, let 's go back when I was a kid. I wanted to be the world 's best Doctor since I stayed in the hospital for one week because I was deathly ill with pneumonia, I was 7
With the sun barely rising, we slept most of the car ride to Tunica, Mississippi. We woke up about an hour before we arrived to our destination. In that hour, we talked, ate Mc. Donalds, and of course jammed out to music. When we arrived at Sam’s Town Casino Hotel, we rushed into the lobby to get our room.
A jumbo jetliner went soaring through the sky, reaching upwards of 570 miles per hour. The Boeing 747 had endured a grueling nine hour flight over the Pacific Ocean. I was nine years old, excited, yet scared to see a new country. Germany had been a place that my father always talked about, he grew up there and left his mother and sister behind to live with his dad. This was the first time I would be meeting any of my family from Germany.
