Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Introduction to the problem Reading comprehension is such an important skill that is frequently hard to develop in English as foreign language (EFL) students. If you are able to understand what you are reading increasing your vocabulary, means you are improving your reading comprehension skill, which is important for learning at an academic level and for life in general. There for the improvement of suitable competencies in a foreign language has become a challenge for LEI students. • To pilot commercial audio readings from National Geographic as a teaching tool to improve the reading comprehension skill in LEI students.
• To evaluate the effectiveness of the commercial audio readings implemented.

In this study, the research questions are the following:
1. In reading comprehension, what kind of struggles do LEI students face at beginners’ level?
2. Why should LEI teachers implement the commercial audio-readings as a tool to improve reading comprehension in LEI students?
3. What is the importance of applying real context commercial audio-readings as a tool to improve reading comprehension?
4. How can commercial audio-readings help LEI students to improve in reading comprehension?
5. What are the student’s perceptions about the commercial audio-readings tool?

In How to Read Literature Like a Professor, Thomas C. Foster claims that all literature stems from other literature and in fact all literature is a part of one large work. A large amount of authors borrow ideas from other literary works. Of course, the seemingly most obvious author to borrow from being William Shakespeare. On the contrary, Foster believes that most of the exceptional Shakespeare quotes are overused and referencing Shakespeare can lead to something which Foster calls the “high brow” effect which means that referring to Shakespeare can make the author seem pompous. Other authors and literary works can be borrowed from as well, but many are not as widely known or are well-known now but won’t be for long.

It is evident that the complexity and directness of Nunez’s work shows that her article is more suitable for readers that are much more educated and are more interested in reading about facts rather than opinions and personal statements. This can be concluded by the numerous amount of undeveloped facts which were written by Nunez on her article. Meza, however, targets a much easier going set of readers. The language is calm and simple and is used to develop a less numerous amount of facts. Furthermore, the usage of personal experiences and stories (anecdote) varies in the two articles provided.
In “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Readers” by Kavitha Rao, she express her opinion on the topic that the current generation is not reading for fun. She mentions several experience she had with other people, that don 't see the benefit in reading for fun. She says that since people aren 't reading more leisure anymore they 're becoming less creative, inarticulate, have poor communication skills and low confidence, which is caused by parents forcing their kids to read, and the education system need to have students memorize textbooks and nothing else. After reading this article I find myself disagreeing with Rao on several points she made, I don’t believe the modern attitude towards reading is causing people to be self absorbed and unimaginative, she also claims that book clubs don 't encourage reading for fun, parents are forcing their children to read boring books which turned them away from reading and that the educational system is to blame for college students for being inarticulate.
