“Pit bull” is not a breed. It is a broad term often used to describe dogs with similar characteristics and traits. Because of irresponsible owners and the media, many people are misinformed about pit bulls. Not everything said about pit bulls is true so it is important to know the facts instead of making assumptions. From the 15th century to the 21st century, the views on pit bulls has changed drastically. As shown in the temperament test, pit bulls can be friendly dogs as well. Pit bull owners need to treat their pit bulls nicely. It is just like it states in the golden rule: treat others the way you want to be treated.

When comparing all breeds of dog, pit bulls are a good choice for a family dog in spite of the common misconception about their aggressive and unpredictable behavior.
