In the recent era smoking has become the habit of many people. Different people smoke for different reasons. The act of smoking is ingrained as a daily ritual. It may be an automatic response for you to smoke a cigarette with your morning coffee, while taking a break from work or school, or during your commute home at the end of a long day. Perhaps friends, family members, and colleagues smoke, and it has become part of the way you relate with them (Help Guide.Org, 2017). Even though people smoke for different reasons they actually do not know the after effects of it. Nowadays, people across the globe debate about banning of smoking. Like many other people I also believe that smoking should be banned because; smoking is harmful to health, it affects our environment and it is waste of money.
Firstly, smoking is harmful to our health. Tobacco leaves have very complex chemicals in them over 2,000. When tobacco is chewed, these chemicals go directly into the body; when it is smoked, the only chemicals that are not taken into the body are those that have been changed or combined by burning into new chemical combinations. And once inside you, the physical weakening and disease begins (Ferrel, 2003). Despite of these facts people smoke. Thus, it leads to cause the hazardous diseases such as lung cancer, breathing problems, heart attacks, and strokes.
