Life itself is a lifelong teacher for every human being who is living it.
It is nothing incredible but I merely spent 2 weeks with families and friends from the beginning of the summer. It is not like summer schools that school is taking care of everything. Plus, some people in summer schools have companies like roommates or friends. I have got nothing but baggages.
Of course I’ve got money since I would not get paid for whatever I do in Beijing. But I do travel around myself a lot. It is somehow convenient as there 're subways. However, I was not comfortable living all own my own. Though of course I’ve been in a lot of places with my parents, but I always have some company or supervisor like a summer camp. When I was in Hong Kong I have my friend and when I was in Xi’an I still have him accompanying me.

Though I contacted them a lot but I have no chance to have fun with them. I am 1800 km away from my parents and even more with some of my friends. In addition, people are busy with their lives and other free time rarely match with each other so that sometimes chatting on Wechat is difficult. The best solution would be make new friends. After weeks of struggling, I finally made some new friends. It really feels good when I have someone to laugh with, to share jokes with, and to watch Olympics games.
Life is tough and I have to deal with it. Being on my own seems trifle but it is kind of hard. I learned and I’m still learning. Thanks to this chance on my own to prepare me for my future when I inevitably have to be on my own. I learn how to take care of myself. Loneliness, in accordance with the dictionary is a complex and usually unpleasant emotional response to isolation or lack of companionship. However, it doesn’t always work like that, human beings can be lonely even when surrounded by other people, specifically if said other people cannot relate to or communicate effectively with the subject. In this way, many people can be lonely but not even seem lonely and that in itself is dreadful. Loneliness is dark bottomless hole that is just too easy to fall into and disappear forever. Steinbeck though, used this tactic of despair and sentenced the majority of his characters to life with it in his novel, Of Mice and Men.
As Mother Teresa once said “Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty” the feeling of loneliness can be terrible for everyone making them feel like they have lost everything they had. People can start feeling the sensation of loneliness because of their own families or the surrounding around them. Family can play the most important role to feeling alone and feeling unwanted by them causing you to make decisions that do not have a back button on them. Loneliness. It can be a good thing or it can be a bad thing. It could be help you in life or it could make it worse. Some people love to be alone and would take that over anything, while some people just hate the thought of being alone. The book the Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald shows a lot of loneliness, especially from Jay Gatsby.
Statics say that about one third of Americans feel lonely or isolated. There are more than 3 million people across The United States. Sometimes people feel like they are connected to each other in some way through social media. However, the sad truth is that social isolation is deadlier than ever. Spending time with the same 20 kids for 5 years and some for 9 years, you become a small family-- the North Cape family that you see more than your real family during certain times. The novel Speak and the article “Teens in Covid Isolation: “I felt like I was suffocating”, displays the experiences many children faced with loneliness and how it impacts their life. Loneliness is an aspect of depression, and those who experience it can lead to self-harm, decreased academic performance, and struggle to talk about it to others. People who struggle with loneliness often find it difficult to let their true feelings out, leading to a sense of isolation and emotional distress.
Crippling Absences “Laugh and the world laughs with you; Weep and you weep alone” (Ella Wheeler Wilcox); loneliness is an amplified absence away from the people one cares about. S/he lives and smiles with the those s/he cares deeply for, only then one hides away from the darkest corners of the mind. Alone, one wallows in deep thought, becoming numb from loneliness and feeling transparent.
Year-round school is exceptionally better than it sounds to most. It may sound to students like going to school more often and never getting away from it, but it’s actually not that way at all. Year-round school for school faculty and students would actually be helpful and very beneficial. All schools should participate in year-round school because children and faculty get more breaks, students forget things over summer break, and it would be efficient use of the school building. Normal school schedules have around 10 to 12 week summer breaks.

Even my siblings and Grandma, I didn’t want to leave behind I felt constrained I’m not going to know anyone there. What if no one likes me? What if I can’t make any new friends and I have to sit all alone at lunch every day?.

The past four years of my life hold both my highest of highs and my lowest of lows. High school can be a very awkward time period in a person’s life. Four years ago, I made the intimidating switch from St. Mary’s School to Algoma High School. There were certain aspects of high school which made me nervous, but academics was not one of them. I learned how to be a responsible student in my earlier years, and school had always come relatively easy to me.
Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be successful in life. I have always wanted to be the better version of my parents and achieve many things in life. During my freshman year in High school, I knew I was going to major in business. I come from a household of five, my father, mother, two younger sisters, and myself. I am the first in my family to go to college and with that being said, I have always felt the pressure to be the best role model and example for my younger sisters.
