Why We Honor Our Veterans Do you know someone who is a veteran, perhaps a family member or a friend? Do you know what they had to go through? How they risked their lives for you and our country. Well today I am going to tell you what they had to go throw, what they sacrificed, and why they served.
I believe our nation’s veterans deserve to be honored. They do so much for our country. They risk severe physical injury, they risk mental health issues, and they defend the honors and freedoms of our nation. These are just a few reasons they deserve to be honored. Veterans put their physical well-being on the line.
Veterans Veterans day is coming up so instead of celebrating it let's do all we can to show we appreciate them. I don’t know about you but my favorite hero group is the U.S.A. Military. Veterans are heroes because you're reading this. The fact that I was able to type this and the fact that you're able to understand this is why their heroes. Men and women have fought so we can go to school.
Why are veterans are considered heroes? I think veterans are considered heroes because they put there life on the line all the time for are freedom. Every time they step out in fight they have a changs of getting shot or killed but they will not stop. They reck there life so we won’t have too.
Why are veterans America's heroes? I know some of you think of superman or spider man. But just because they don’t necessarily halve super powers. Although veterans don't halve superpowers they are heroes in ways I will explain in my essay. One way veterans are heroes is because they are loyal because if they weren't loyal they would give away information to the side that we are trying to beat in war or combat.
Thank you for putting your life out there for us. Thank you for protecting people's families. And thank you for putting this country first. Veterans day is for people like you to be thanked for all you guys did for this country. But people like you deserve more.
Veterans are people who fought for our country. If we didn't have heroes our country would have been taken over. Veterans are heroes because they are confident under pressure, fight for our freedom, and they are sacrificial. First, they are sacrificial because they go into war and fight for our rights. They are confident because when they go into war they do not say that they are going to lose.
Veterans are American heros because they fight for our country. They also fight for us, and they know they might not come back the same. They risk their lives for us and we should appreciate what they do for us. Second,we should honor them because they fight for our country and they try to protect us.
The America I believe in provides food and shelter for homeless veterans. When homeless veterans come home from protecting our country they usually end up with no food, and no home. as said by pres. Barack Obama, “no one who fights for this country should have to fight for a job, a roof over their head and the care that they need when they come home”. I love that quote because it’s true.
Memorial Day is a special day to Americans. It is a day where we come together to pay respect to those who fought so diligently to defend our freedom and allow us to go about our lives as we know them. Memorial Day is often times confused with Veteran’s Day and, while they are both related, Veteran’s Day is a day to acknowledge service men and women still alive today. Memorial Day is a day that many observed back in their day but are no longer able to do so themselves but instead are the ones being honored by the living. The day is begun with the raising of Old Glory, then she is lowered to half-mast where she remains until noon, honoring those who have gave their lives in service of this wondrous nation.
Thank you Veterans for all of the sacrifices you have made for our country. My whole life I have walked, spoken, prayed, and lived freely because of you. I can’t even imagine what life would be like if you hadn’t given your everything. Before the veterans visited our classroom I can honestly say that I didn’t know much, if anything, about most of the wars. That was changed after the veterans spoke to us.
As an American, I enjoy many freedoms that people from other countries don’t. That may not seem fair, and it really isn’t, but I am grateful that I have these freedoms. I have the freedom of life. I don’t have to worry every day that I am going to die. I don’t live in a place where I am under attack.
