My partner, Gregory Iwanonkiw, lives in Murillo, a small town on the outskirts of Thunder Bay. After attending Westgate High School, his love for sciences brought him to chose Lakehead University for the four year Nursing Program. After earning his BscN he plans to further his education at Lakehead to earn his M.D. which is the degree earned after attending three or four years of medical school. Following his Medical degree, if he still has the desire to go to school his plan is to attend post-secondary outside of his hometown to eventually become a Pediatric Surgeon.
As lifelong learning continues, it is important to focus on patients and family outcomes through teamwork collaboration, advocating, effective communication, and equally, self-driven to accomplish goals to create and coordinate activities to promote professional development, is why I have chosen to apply for the ambulatory nurse educator

The familiarity that these courses will provide me with related medical school courses will aid me in acclimating to medical school more efficiently, and to perform at a superb academic level. Attending a medical school that is community-focused and that is service-oriented is what makes Morehouse a uniquely good fit. Morehouse will be gaining a student that is unquestionably passionate about medicine, highly motivated and ambitious, and that will take full advantage of utilizing all of his resources to succeed in medical
I believe I should be accepted into to the University of North Dakota School Of Medicine because of my commitment to practicing primary rural care in the Midwest, my experience working with the underserved populations of my community, and my desire to advance medicine through research. Growing up in a small rural community, I was fortunate to have the same primary care physician. However, recently our town has experienced difficulty in hiring and retaining physicians. My enjoyment of my rural community inspires me to someday become a physician in this type of community. My commitment to serving the underserved population of my community is demonstrated through volunteering for 5 years at a clinic for the uninsured.
One of many reasons why I am drawn towards the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine is because of its rigorous curriculum and the school’s mission and values. Being immersed to a primary care clinic during the beginning of school, in opinion, is vital to the learn experience as it gives the students a hands-on experience. Furthermore, the school’s main focus on diversity appeals to my attention as it promotes learning from various students with different backgrounds. Diversity in the school setting corresponds to the real world since physicians will always encounter patients from all walks of life. Being a student who quickly learns from firsthand experiences and who can easily collaborate with other individuals, I believe I will contribute
I look forward to the opportunity to work with the different cultures present in Arizona. I know that Arizona will provide me with the lifestyle I love. I cannot wait to work with the kind and welcoming people whose demeanor mirrors that of the northwest. The beautiful landscapes, wide variety of activities and hiking opportunities draw me to the state. I love thinking back of the time I have spent in Arizona with my family and friends and am excited to make my way back as a student of Northern Arizona and to serve Arizona as a future medical
My psychology training allowed me to improve my interpersonal skills that will certainly aid me in your residency program. During my clinical rotations, and observerships in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, I was extremely fortunate to work with professors and physicians that were more than willing to share their knowledge and wisdom with me. From teaching students in medical school to currently tutoring students for USMLE, I have always tried to pass on that knowledge. Throughout my career, I have recognized, learning is
A little over two years ago, I started working as a Community Support Individual for Pathways Transition Programs LLC. My primary responsibility is to teach children various coping skills to manage their behavior, I have determined that I want to be able to address the emotions behind the behaviors. My desire is to be able to help the children I work with come to terms with their past histories so they can move on in their lives towards adoption and other positive outcomes. Sometimes, the children are still going through issues such as, on-going traumas, the lost of a parent due to death or incarceration, etc and I would like to develop the skill set to be able to address these issues. I see pursuing my degree through Argosy University as being the next step to take in order to develop a competency in counseling.
The level of care that the varying healthcare professionals provided to these patients was fascinating and became intrigued to a career path in the medical field. Over the next couple of years, I narrowed the possibility
Taking my career choice into consideration was key in my decision which for most people is a long, difficult, and tedious process. The university I will be attending next fall is Washington University in St. Louis. I immediately fell in love with the school as a result of the academic programs, its community, and the classic Midwestern hospitality that I have gotten used to after having lived most of my life in Nebraska. I believe that this university specifically will help me achieve my goal of eventually becoming a neurosurgeon and making a difference in medicine and the world. My talents will be best served and exemplified at a university of this nature and will push me to go for the stars and accomplish my
As a child, my family took a vacation to a far- away place called Colorado. Being right around five years old, I had absolutely no idea what that meant. All I knew was that the car ride to get to Colorado was going to feel like an eternity. My parents told me they were taking me to a city called Colorado Springs.
I look forward to my future aspirations and I am ready to take the next step in my education after high school. To me, that step is going to Colorado
This week I had the opportunity to spend some time in both the OR and Endoscopy unit. Going into the practice days I was excited and optimistic about what I was going to take away from the experience, as I considered my possible future in working in the operative setting. However, by the second day of practice, I realized that I wasn’t overly excited about either of the units and that the expectations I had set out, didn’t quite match up like I had hoped. Even though I don’t feel as though nursing in either of the units is for me, I was able to take away new knowledge that I believe has enhanced my overall nursing practice.
Since I will be applying to medical schools in a few years, I hope that this program allows me to receive more insight towards what to expect in these upcoming years. I hope to gain a better understanding of how to represent myself as a strong candidate for medical school, how to prepare for the MCAT, learn what medical school will be like, and be exposed to all the different healthcare professions that are available. This program is a wonderful opportunity to help me prepare for my future and build connections with people who are already health care professionals and can give me advice on how to be ready for what is to come. The journey to becoming involved in the medical field can be very difficult, especially when your ethnic background
