Did you know twenty-four percent of K-12 schools ban cell phones altogether, and 62 percent allow phones on school grounds but ban them in the classrooms? As you know, not many schools prohibit the use of phones in school. Those that do usually have a strict limitation on them. Even though most schools do prohibit the use of phones in the classrooms, they have educational benefits, therefore they should be used in the classroom. The reason I think phones should be used is because they don 't only have distracting uses, but they also have educational uses. Although phones can be distracting, there are tons of educational uses for phones. A teacher could just use an app to monitor the student’s screens at all times, or teachers can limit a student’s access to a app while connected to the schools internet. It 's also true that some students don 't have phones, but if they have something like a tablet or device that they could bring to school, they would be fine to not have a mobile phone.Another concern is that students won 't be able to communicate with peers in the classroom if they are doing this on devices such as a phone, parents don 't have to worry because students can have a class blog talking about a subject in class, or students could discuss the topic in the classroom. this was an idea that “40 uses for smartphones in school” (Leyden) mentioned.

This is the reason phones should be allowed in class. Basically, if we allow students to use phones in the classroom, they will already have all the books students need and can’t say that the student forgot them as long as The student have their phones with them. Doing this will also bring costs to schools down, therefore giving the school a bigger budget. This could all be a massive benefit if schools switched to using phones during class, and all the educational apps out there. If schools switched to using phones during class, it would help a
