The New York Times wrote an article called “A Breed That Came up the Hard Way” were it stated that because of their unparalleled love and devotion for children they were commonly known as “The Nanny Dog” throughout the late 19th and early centuries. (Fletcher,W 1971). Meanwhile advocates for this breed claim this specific breed is the most abused, tortured and abandoned breed in the U.S. They’re often difficult to adopt out due to their stigma caused by the media. The ASPCA revealed that there is no evidence that shows how breed-specific laws make communities safer for people or companion animals, these laws are costly and extremely difficult to enforce.
In the article, “The Last Meow,” by Burkhard Bilger argues that people are spending a lot of money on their pets rather than spending it the right way. It is estimated Americans spend billions of dollars a year on veterinary care. Bilger believes our love affair with our pets and spending on animal has gotten out of control . American spend nearly three times as much as federal government spends on welfare grants. Although pet care is very important , I agree with Bilger that this has gotten out of control because pet owner spent humorous amount of money for their pet unnecessary things, pet owners are giving the life and luxury to their pets and many pets do not get the services some pet’s get.
The “Umwelt” of a particular organism can be interpreted as the semiotic world of that organism, and “Umwelt is not simply the environment in general, but the environment which holds significance for any particular species” (Wheeler, 101). With this in mind, the semiotic world of a female human and the semiotic world of dog are distinctive in their biological differences and the ways in which they perceive a particular scenario. A dog is a man’s best friend- a lot of people. Imagine you had some sort of mental or physical dissability. There are lots of ways you could get help, but a specific something sticks out the most. It is more of a someone than a something though. Many are not aware of the problems that using a fake service dog can cause, but those who are disabled understand the issue. This has been a problem for many years, and is only getting worse. Fake service dogs reflect a bad image for the real ones, and “discriminate against or restrict access to disabled persons” (Colman). The recurring problem of these fake service dogs is well known to such a small percentage of the population, it is difficult to create a stable solution that will be effective for a long period of time.

Humans and animals are loyal, friendly, and understanding species which allows them to understand each other. People and animals are like no other, they can share a special bond and learn to love one another other. But, there are reasons why they are so loyal to one and other, why they are friendly to one and other, and why they understand each other. These bonds are often unbreakable. One way people and animals get along is when they show loyalty to each other.
Dogs have long been known to make great companions. I have heard from many people who own a dog that a dog is capable of boosting your mood and your health. But is it true? I didn’t know if it was all true until my sister surprised us with two tiny dogs. After having our dogs for several months I noticed it does change our lives in many ways.
