“The three basic necessities that a person needs to live be Food, Cloth and Shelter”- This simple thought made me think about basic needs of human. This quote has always inspired me to pursue a career which provides a platform for serving peoples basic needs as well as learning new things.
My interest in Information Technology (IT) engineering has always been apt from a very nascent stage of my life and my parents have been a deciding factor. Ever since I was interested in pursuing IT engineer as an area of study. I had opportunities to raise myself in this field. My most interesting area is data mining which is really at a good pace in IT world. My parents have always been my inspiration and they also want me to ameliorate myself in this field.

During my 12th I came across a book named “target 3 Billion” by former president of India DR A P J Abdul Kalam that inspired me the most and acted as an eye opener for me. After graduating from MHS, the next challenge in my mission to ascend from my circumstances was to become the best student at The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State). With consideration of my mother not graduating high school, it was imperative and self- driving that I reward her sacrifices by excelling in my academic career. Eager to outperform, consequently, I earned the Smeal Merit Diversity Scholarship for three consecutive years (Freshmen-Junior) at Penn State. This prestigious scholarship is only awarded to the top five minority business students at Penn State. In addition to my academic successes, I became very active on campus and served as a leader at the top of four different campus-organizations.
As a hopeful future undergraduate at IUPUI, I am eager to participate in the nursing program. Currently I am taking a class at my high school that will allow me to become a certified nursing assistant if I pass the state exam. Although I have only started this school year, I can tell that I have found my passion through nursing. With this simple goal, I plan to focus on my school work and dedicate my time at IUPUI. Besides the school aspect, I also want to participate in numerous extracurricular activities offered.
My plan is to attend a four year university full time at University of Washington Bothell and major in computer science field because I am passionate about working with technology, and I want to understand how we can continue to draw knowledge from it. In addition, I plan to attend graduate school while working in the computer science field after I finished with my undergraduate school.
