(Barbara Kingsolver) Fiction is an imaginary thing or event, postulated for the purposes of argument or explanation as defined by Dictionary.com. It’s a love that overcomes human faults. To sum it all up, both The Road Not Taken and Love Poem “play a unique role not simply in American literature, but in American culture —and in world culture as well” (Orr 2). We can see how literary devices shape and speak inside these poems. From the metaphoric road in The Road Not Taken and the grinning lipstick on the lover’s coat in Love Poem, literary devices are the true stars that make these poems great. Literary Devices are what makes the story vivid for the reader, for example, mood, plot, allusion, imagery and point of view. The importance of literary devices, what stories consist of without literary devices and how people interpret the literary devices within the story, are the most important factor of a story. Literary Devices/ Terms have been around for centuries back in order to help the authors get messages across or simply make the story a powerful outcome in the reader’s eyes. However, it can be a great technique to engage the audience. In literary works that create highly structured sequences of mental images, emotional responses are organized in sequences that, like narrative structures, have a beginning, middle, and end. Emotionally charged, imaginative sequences give shape and meaning to human life (Carroll 2). They both will appreciate how the launch was such a great accomplishment for man. Ayn in detail explains why the launch was so great.
Authors use figurative language to engage their readers and make their story more convincing or interesting. Authors also use it to help add mood fluency and imagery to their books. For example, in Ender’s game the author uses figurative language a lot to help the reader understand and help picture what 's going on in the scenes. Creativity is also something that I am very committed to because it pushes people to explore new boundaries and come up with ideas that excite and bring positive energy into their lives. I enjoy hearing the ideas of friends, coworkers, etc., because I will never underestimate the power of an idea. Creativity is what has allowed us to progress over time. In this program many other students will be providing me their creative thoughts and solutions, which allows new ideas to be born and causes a cycle. Service is also important because when we provide any of our time into helping someone or something out it allows us to stay humble and acknowledge what is going on around us.
