From the lesson, I learned that teaching writing in kindergarten requires a lot of modeling. For this paper, the overall editing was also done with much thought. As said earlier, I, as a student, like to receive the best grades possible. I also dislike making mistakes and tend to not easily get over same. Hence, being aware of the expectations of the lecturer I was preparing the paper for, I tried nervously to eliminate as much grammar issues as I could find. From memory, as a result of doing classes with Miss Daley before, I knew she has a problem with my paragraphing.

Many authors leave a lot of these details up to the reader's imagination”. I do agree that authors purposely leave out details, so the reader is able to form their own opinion and be creative within guidelines. To some readers, they may think they are reading the story a certain way and not realize there is more than one “correct answer”.
So it only makes sense that it is one of the most stressed points in the syllabus. The instructor outlines how he will help us achieve a few ways. They are all stated in the “English 1110 Outcomes Statement”. Here it says that we will be able to identify our audience, focus on our purpose, and learn various general writing skills such as organizing an essay, formatting an essay, using proper grammar, etc. This shows that the instructor values the basic writing mechanics because it is necessary for us to be able to succeed as professional writers.
many suggest to start writing by writing a diary. in the diary one start with mention day to day events and experiences in very informal and simple style. it helps in taking a start and also developing a writing habit. but developing a writing habit is not the solution to the writing problems. quality writing like articles, research paper writing for newspaper involves number of complexities that turn writing again very difficult task.
As mentioned in my previous journals the tutor is the backbone in my learning journey for this course. As a convention, I try and read the tutor’s comments several times to occupy in the real message so that I can concentrate on my faults. Because writing composition has always been my challenge I try and pay close attention so that I don’t keep taking in the same errors. Although, my emphasis is normally on what the ask of the assignment is, but I feel I get side tracked and make the mistakes that I can avoid in the interim. For the most part I conceive I’m ok, but at times I get swayed out with long sentences.
I wound up changing different drafts of my papers in these classes. I feel like this is something essential that I have learned from these classes. Learning to reexamine and determine mistakes to have the assistance of my associates or my professor is something that will incredibly help the nature of my writing. I had a feeling that I was a solid writer coming into this class however now having the capacity to adjust my writing to distinctive styles and having the capacity to make fitting and compelling revisions to my work I have a feeling that I am a more finish English student. I was exceptionally stubborn to alter my work before these classes, on the other hand I now understand that modification are a vital piece of life as well as they are a critical piece of learning and writing.
For example, I write on the board a key word of the topic in study and I ask them to brainstorm words that they relate to it. I have noticed that this activity helps them to focus and at the same time it motivates discussion regarding the topic and the words being said. Another activity that my students love is the KWL (Know, Want to Know, Learned), it is a pre-reading activity that they complete based on the title of the chapter or the text. They have reported to feel involved with the text because they discover that they actually have questions and that they may find the answers in the text. In the case of while reading activities, I always motivate them to underline important ideas and when we read together I stop at the end of each paragraph to ask them questions.
