Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached ‘ a famous statement by one of the India’s greatest religious thinkers-swami Vivekananda. I came across the quote in my childhood and it has been a driving force and inspiring influence ever since. It is this thought that gave me the strength to arise every time I was unsuccessful and it is to this thought that I owe all this success.
Since my early days I have been maintaining a consistent record in my educational endeavors. The feeling that the undergraduate study merely outlines any major field coupled with an intense desire to have deeper insights into the subjects has been the driving force for me to pursue higher studies. Right from my school days, my strengths in quantitative and analytical abilities instilled in me a special interest towards Life Sciences. Thus I chose Biology, Physics and Chemistry as my majors in my Intermediate. My aspirants always kept me in good stead in shaping my academic career. My belief that B.pharmacy is

Why College Education is Important to Me By Kayte Forrester I made it a goal for myself to be the first in my family to attend college. After a really bad day at work as a CNA, I finally just signed up and said I’m going to do better for myself. I want a career that has a steady future, something that is financially secure, but most important having a college degree is going to give me a big leap in self-esteem. Getting a college education is going to open a whole new world of opportunities for me.
During the spring 2016 semester I enrolled in physics II, organic chemistry II, and biochemistry, while also being a student researcher and participating in extracurricular activities. The combination of all of this left me feeling a little overwhelmed and stressed, to say the least, but I found a way to balance it all and still maintain good grades. I owe my ability to endure that semester to my ambition and the supportive community at Spelman. It was ambition that helped me through this difficult semester. My strong desire to learn the necessary material and have a satisfactory grade helped me by allowing me to expend all my possible resources to achieve the outcome I wanted.
Going to college is probably one of the most important things that I have done in my life so far. Thinking back to everything I have done in the past ten years or so, I can see that taking to leap of faith to join college and further my education was such a huge step for me and I am glad that I did. Before I joined Southern New Hampshire University, I knew I would need some motivation to enroll. I remember a story my father told me about how he had gone to Technical College and became a licensed Master Mechanic and that really motivated me to want to further my education. Also, my brother had talked to me about two months ago and had told me his experience with going to college to earn his English degree and me, being the competitive brother I am, didn’t want him to be the only sibling to earn a degree.
Why do I want to attend college? College is an honorary achievement and it separates the determined from the undetermined. Owning a college to degree is an honor and an ecstatic feeling. Through college, that job is that much closer in the grasp. Through college, a person can perform at an elite level and really push themselves for greatness.
Doing what I love and being able to support myself and loved ones is important to me. I am a very independent person and I like to do things my way. I like to set individual goals everyday, whether that means doing my homework before a certain time, or completing something for the week. They help me get my work done on time and efficiently.
Living in hope, with our beliefs, and with little expectation of others is the way forward. My parents, simple and honest human beings, have high expectations of me, wishing that I too, like them, grew up to be an honorable person. Martin Luther King’s life inspires the determined and I agree that to give up on life or stop is deplorable. Irrespective of the hurdles, to push ahead with all one’s might is the only way to succeed. Living this philosophy, my father, a genuine rags to riches story, altered my life, leading by example and encouraging me to follow the path of righteousness.
Choosing a college major is one of the most important decisions in a person’s life. The effect choosing a college major has on one’s life is much like a small ripple in the middle of a vast ocean. In the students senior year it is a simple seemingly inconsequential click of a button on an online application. But by the time this once meek ripple reaches the shore of the students’ life it has already transformed into a great tidal wave that has influenced their life every step of the way.
To Graduate Committee Admission of Biochemistry and Cell Biology Program of Rice University: My inclination to study biology comes to me since I was little boy. I always found amazing the capabilities of living beings and mechanisms that allow life, development and evolution of organisms. Particularly interesting were my first approaches to microbiology in early classes in high school. My fascination by biological sciences was such that it led me to win the National Biology Contest held in Cuba, my native country in 2004. This was one of my first academic achievements in my short career and allowed me to directly enter the best pre-university school in my country.
Since I was in my childhood I have high curiosity on how and why things work. I have this unsatisfied feeling until I know why and how it 's happening. My dad always told me the same about me. I still remember how I spend the whole day looking for what make the pedestal fan to swing and I opened up its cover to see the motor and gear rotating and for me it 's fascinating. He used to bring me along with him in his nearest four wheel drive park where he taught me many things about four wheel vehicles.
My goals have changed a lot over the last couple of years. Bouncing back and forth between majors and deciding if I even want to be taking college classes right now. I kept asking myself why I should struggle with hard classes when I have a good job right now. But then I stopped and repeated “good job right now.” My job as a twenty year old might support me right now but is it going to support me in ten or fifteen years when I’m trying to buy a house and support my family?

I understand that the graduate degree demands passion for knowledge, diligence, good analytical and technical skills, and zeal to excel. I am certain that my undergraduate knowledge and four years of work experience has prepared me for the challenge and constant commitment. I assure the committee that their faith in me will not be misplaced, and that I will endeavour to live up to their
There is this famous saying, ''Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow". I could not agree more. Growing up as a kid, I vividly recall myself always being enthusiastic to learn and explore. Now I stand on the state where I can proudly say that this passion has driven my growth, motivated me to grow even further and augmented my hunger for quality education.
When I graduate high school, I plan on having future goals that I plan on achieving. My first goal is to go to college and get a degree. I plan on attending Purdue NorthWest majoring in engineering and minoring in business. This is my number one future goal that I need to accomplish because to be able to have a nice life, I need to go to college to support my future family. My next future goal would be get a starting job to be able to support my future family.
