Patients learn about how their spine works, proper body mechanics, common disorders and their causes, benefits of good posture, importance of physical fitness. What kind of people do they treat? A physical therapist helps take care of patients in all phases of healing, from initial diagnosis through the restorative and preventive stages of recovery.
It is just like a consultation with any doctor a patient may see. The therapist has to talk with them about a recovery plan that they are thinking will work the best. They also talk about the goals that they will both be trying to achieve during the recovery. Once that is done, the therapist will remove anything that is holding or covering the affected area. Then they position the body so it can be comfortable, and then start all the techniques that they have to use.

Nurses are the liaison between the doctors and the patients. We should acknowledge an honor the patients as a person regardless of his status in life, and not ignore them, paying attention to every details pertaining to their health. • Lifelong learning – I strongly believe that the education doesn’t end after graduation but continues even when you are in the nursing profession and working. Part of being a nurse is the application of knowledge and skills and the continuation of learning. My goal is to make it a point to stay current and updated on education by taking courses, attending seminars, trainings, obtaining certifications, as well as joining meaningful nursing organizations.

Remember, the patient is ultimately under your care. While you are able to delegate tasks, it 's still your responsibility to see that each task was carried out effectively and safely. If a task was not completed, you will be held accountable.

Communication skills that are applicable in nursing assessment include active listening, observation, reflecting and interpreting (Dossey, Keegan, & Barrere, 2015, 469).
